PROs:
- Exploring and finding new areas feels very rewarding... and there's a LOT to explore! Each area has its unique flair and its unique set of enemies.
- Combat is fluid and fun (few exceptions for boss fights, see below). Controls are perfect and never feel clunky.
- Art, animations and NPCs are just AWESOME. NPCs are especially nice to talk to and have a lot of personality.
- Sountrack is simple but perfect for this kind of atmosphere. Sound FX and NPC "voices" are awesome.
- Very non-linear kind of experience and no hand-holding. Really works well with the exploring mechanics.

CONs:
- Lots of backtracking and going over the same areas of the map can be frustrating, especially when you die a lot fighting bosses. Also, being able to see yourself on the map requires a Charm to be equipped, and it just feels frustrating as it is something I'd equip just to make the game more playable.
- Sometimes bosses are unpredictable, making it hard to actually learn how they behave to defeat them.

Great experience overall! 9/10!

The CONs do make the game frustrating sometimes, especially when fighting certain kinds of harder bosses. Most of the time though, the more you explore, the more you find items/upgrades which can GREATLY help you deal with harder bosses and make the whole fight/die/traverse/repeat sequence less painful.

The art, combat, sound FX, soundtrack, NPC personalities really make the game AWESOME and kept me hooked and wanting to explore every possible area to find even more secrets and NPCs.

Why I love this game:
* Absolutely fantastic soundtrack, I'd say the best I've ever heard.
* Game's pretty hard but has an awesome learning curve.
* It will make you shout at your monitor but for some reason it will keep you hooked.
* Lots of secret areas
* I love the graphic style
