7.5 hrs on record
CS:GO Review
My hours spent playing this game are paltry, compared to 99.99% of the people who play it. And those hours won't be going up one single second. 7.5 hours is all I needed to play this game to decide it's just not worth it.

There's a well-established community, and if you're a part of that, you're set. If you're new to the game, however... don't expect to get anywhere. Between hackers, and teammates who expect you to be a master at the game your very first match, you will spend more time getting kicked out of games or leaving them of your own accord than you will actually doing much playing. Don't expect anyone to try and help you. Don't expect anyone to remember they weren't always masters with thousands of hours of gameplay. Don't expect your team to treat you like a part of said team unless you are somehow an instant veteran. Otherwise, they WILL harass you and boot you for not being as good as they are while you sit there with <1% as much playtime and experience.

The game itself would get a solid 7 or 8 out of 10, if I had to rate it alone. There's a lot of potential for fun and competition, and various game modes keep things interesting. However, the community makes that rating plummet to a 2 or 3. The community is what MAKES a game like this. This game DEPENDS on that community, and from what I've encountered, there's little to no incentive for newcomers here. I've been playing shooters for almost 20 years... competitive/multiplayer shooters for almost 15. I have never experienced a complete lack of support from other players anywhere else as I have on this game. I spent more time being disgusted with the toxic nature of the players than I did enjoying the game. Yes, you'll get greif from people on any game, but there have always been those few who try to help. Not on this game. I saw none, in 7.5 hours and multiple lobbies/gamemodes.

Again, if you don't mind getting zero help from your own teammates, dealing with hackers, and being voted out of lobbies for not being an expert in under 10 minutes... buy this. If you want an actual good online multiplayer shooter experience, there are plenty of other options out there, no matter how cliche or mainstream. Play them, instead. You'll at least feel like you're part of something.
