The career mode is actually different this year

Good multiplayer, ♥♥♥♥ campaign. Decent for 40 Euros

Poor performance but a good game overall

The animations are quite weird and the car models look wrong, but the basics are there. A great baseline to build upon in 2023 and future installments.

Despite the mixed reaction, I like the game. As a sim racer, the addition of VR is crucial, although it isn't perfectly implemented and has some issues here and there (hopefully they will get patched out in the future)

The trend of the game being more of a sim every year continues.

I agree with the critics that F1 Life is stupid, but I don't mind its presence. I mostly play career mode and it doesn't bother me at all, and hey, maybe there is someone, somewhere who likes it.

Better than the original AMS, and has probably the best 2022 F1 car in sim racing at this point in time.

Best 9/11 simulator

I don't even know where to start with this. There are a lot of good things about this game, but also a lot of straight up idiotic design decisions that have me questioning the sanity of DICE/EA.
The thing that irritated me the most when the game was announced and continues to do so today is the removal of classes/addition of the stupid Specialists. This is a change that literally NO ONE asked for, and does nothing but ♥♥♥♥ up the DNA of the Battlefield franchise. And the "well, they have to make money by selling Specialists skins" excuse is just that, a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ piss poor excuse. Because they could have easily gone for an Operator model, like Call of Duty, or even Battlefield V, and kept the classes intact. But no, they went for a dumb move that literally ruined the main game for me, and a lot of other people.

That being said, if I try to ignore the Specialist ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, and try to look at the game through the eyes of someone who has never played a Battlefield game before, the game is actually quite solid. Sure, it has a lot of bugs and server issues, but these will be fixed over time.

However, as expected, the saving grace of this game for me, and the reason I'm giving it a positive review is the Portal Mode. It is in an ok state right now, could be better, the fact that they had to disable XP gain on custom servers is a shame and hopefully they'll re-enable it ASAP. I really hope that throughout the game's lifespan, it will not be forgotten in favor of the inferior All out War/Hazard Zone modes, and will be constantly updated with new maps, guns, and content from other Battlefield games. Portal had a good start overall, but they need to build it up from here. That being said, I have plenty of faith in Ripple Effect Studios/DICE LA. They did, after all, turn Battlefield 4 into one of the best shooters of all time, following its disastrous launch.

So, overall, this game is exactly what I expected it to be.

In my opinion, the best GTA ever so far.

Once again Codies improves on the previous year's iteration. It sucks that they got rid of the classic cars this year but I don't mind it that much. The new story mode is ok but the career mode, which is the primary reason I play this game is great, as we come to expect. The physics are ok too, still not on "real" sim level, but getting closer year by year :D
