Pretty damn unplayable... Tried to play with a mate and it took multiple restarts and waiting just for the game to accept us in a party... While in game I came across a bug where nothing generated so I was constantly floating over blurring graphics. The game engine is really cool but the controls for crouching and sprinting are weird - if you play change crouch toggle or you'll spend your life holding ctrl. The map is super detailed but feels pretty small, theres no breathing room or time to get gear you almost always get straight into combat.

Oh also the cut scenes are hilariously laggy

The game feels really unfinished and buggy - I spent 20mins of my 79mins actually playing the game because of the bugs.

This game is a real beaut... The steady and clear progression allows you to sink an easy 100 hours (likely more) into one playthrough while not feeling too slow and difficult. The reasonably combat is simple but difficult, you can get easily get the hang of how to use a range of weapons (which come with their own techniques in combat) but to learn to manage stamina and health and the various parameters they factors entails is what makes the game unique and interesting, its easy to understand but hard to master. I could go on for days about the various mechanics that intertwine to makes a satifying survival experience but you probably dont care too much... Its also just easier if you try it out.

The building is also amazing. So much fun can be had creating a huge variety of bases across the map... be warned however hard you try to avoid it, the building will always look viking (not that that's a bad thing... It is a viking game after all!).

This is a must play but you need a good friend to have a chill time.

At the time of writing, I'm coming to the end of my first complete playthrough and it's reminded of the magic and love for a game that the last time I felt was when I first played minecraft over a deacade ago. This game is fantastic... and probably even better when your PC can run it above 30fps haha!

Though it had a rough start with absolutely nothing to do. Now? there's a reasonable amount, it's no GTAO but that also been going on for 8 years and that game also had nothing for ages... There's enough to keep you playing and the optimisation is through the roof, I dont have an amazing PC but it seem to run this game pretty well on idk what graphic setting but it is the best looking game to ever grace my Frankenstein's Granddad of a PC. The detail and graphics alone make this game worth it I could spend the whole time just running from one corner of the map to the other over and over again and every time it'd be breath taking.

This is an incredible game. Probably one of the best parts about this game is the cut scenes, with most games I find myself getting bored through cut scenes just doing it for the sake of the story but I'll generally check my phone... But with this game the cut scenes have thrilling and enticing making you more committed to the story and the next mission. I can't wait to play Youngblood

4 years in development and we get a broken game that has more glitches and bugs than actual content. The preview streams showed them going into the clothes shop and watching movies... You can't even do that, all you can do it run around - Playstation Home was better! This game supasses the initial No Man Sky disappointment. Congrats devs!

Right. I have played a hefty amount of this game, and I love it: The exlosions, the wingsuit, the cargo drops. But I'm sorry if you are some-one like me who regulary fac resets their PC (once a year or so), then is this game has a massive floor which games these days, especially triple A games like Just Cause should not have, and that is the game saving to the steam cloud. This game doesn't and quite frankly it starts to get annoying after restarting the game twice thinking that it may be a glitch that they'll sort or I did something wrong and then running it after another fac reset to find that my save has gone again, and as you can see from my hours on this game, it's not like I had done a mission or two before fac resetting. Though I hadn't completed the story line, almost all of the map had been liberated in both time of playing this game, I don't want to waste another 30 hours to get to the same point I was at previously. I look at my 60hours gameplay now, an though it was fun I feel it's been wasted because of this issue... I have no ingame progress, except the online leaderboards and my steam achievements which is why it annoys me even more that the game has saved my leaderboard but not the saved game. This is a disappointing sight to behold from such a major game.

I got the 50% discount for this game and it seems like a lot of people did. I love this game to bits already and I only have 4.6 hours on this game. Though this is an amazing game for what I used it for which is 'Classic annihlation' (because I loved playing DoW1) I dont think it's worth £40... I don't think any game is worth that. But theres not much to the game if they updated it with more maps and races then this would be on my 'worth it' list, looking at how they added the races for dow1 and dow2 (I think) they add them as pricey DLCs if add them at all. But still recommend this game for a cheaper price if you can ;P

Edit: Damn did I review this too early - It's not that great especially as they abandoned it... AoE4 is incredible so a part of me is glad they went on to make that game but I really hope they come back to DoW with the engine they built for AoE and make a RTS masterpiece thats is faithful to DoW1 because man was that the game I grew up on and would be a dream to see what they did for AoE to happen here too. Dont get this game. Its very lacklustre and little content.
