Good solid mostly mindless fun and a little more thought needed on higher difficulties. Plenty of slight variety in playstyle but at the end of the day you're hitting rats witha sword. And I love it.

Think fps death match with an objective. The excitement and rush of a large map deathmatch with the some of the scares of a horror title. Everyone is trying to kill everyone else and everything else. Fights are fast and brutal and usually over within a few seconds. I was afraid at first of losing all my hunters and not having enough currency to buy any more. However it hasn't been a problem. Ive made more currency than I've lost in the game even though I havent survived a single round so far (about 4 hours of game time, roughly 12 rounds). The nice thing is even if you die you still make progress in your overall level and earn some cash (usually enough to recoup your losses and overall net a little extra) which is nice.

Major Issues include losing connection (which can lead to losing the progress of a whole match), random bugs and glitches like seeing zombies that aren't really there, getting stuck on terrain, game runs pretty poorly at this point, and there is no in-game tutorial. The youtube instructional however covers the basics pretty well and tells you what you need to know.

UPDATE: After 3 years this game is still one of the greatest pvp games ive ever played. Consistent content and developer action. Still strongly recommend.

If you dont have fun even though you are technically losing over and over then this game will ruin you. For me however I have found a ton of fun in playing this game in the atmosphere and general gameplay of this title.

It's like alll your favorite world war 2 movies rolled into one (the main character is basically Capt. John Miller from Saving Private Ryan) including band of brothers but with all the sexual tension, guilt free murderous little girls, plot holes and other general hilarity of an anime. I'm only a couple hours into it but I also found the gameplay to be unique and interesting. There are some stand out characters as well including the super gay Anti-Tank infantryman, the jealous teenage girl, horny teenage boy, lady killer, pothead and plety of others. Not for the serious minded but a great time if you like a light hearted turn based strategy game.

I played the original for a couple hundred hours, it was a a game I always went back to for mindless shooting fun. Also the themed holiday stuff was great. The enjoyment continues with this one with minor changes to the classes which I enjoyed, except for the survivor class, I still don't really understand the point of it. I also love the way the guns feel meaty and powerful, especially the shotguns. Blasting a poor little zed through the air across the map is always so astisfying. If you even remotely like mostly mindless murder then this is a game you will enjoy.
