i have invested 118 hours into this game. it is silly. it is goofy. it has dinosaurs. in fact, all of these aspects make it fun! there's plenty about it that makes playing gruelling and once you're through all the challenges you've already built so many parks and hatched so many dinosaurs you don't even care to make a sandbox park unless you're some park architect visionary.

- unintuitive path system - the snapping gets annoying in path design
- THE FACT YOU NEED TO WAIT FOR THINGS TO CONSTRUCT AND DECONSTRUCT IN SANDBOX MODE
- not able to mix scenery elements from different environments (except for like, rocks)
- no feathered dinos (yet, but probably only coming with a paid DLC that was likely meant for base game)
- lack of previews for dinosaur cosmetics in gene editor
- maps are far too small and lack novelty except in regards to constraints that make park building more difficult (can we get a nublar that isn't shaped weird for once)
- campaign is exceptionally lame (and likely will only improve with a future paid DLC)
- dinosaur injuries / illnesses are 100x more tedious and annoying than what was in the first game
- scientists are an uninspired way to limit player progression in the chaos theory and challenge modes

overall, JWE2 is only an improvement to JWE in regards to visuals. there's a lot more wrong with this game i could've listed but i cannot remember it all right now. i tried refunding this game after playing 9 hours and was beyond my refund window so i decided to get 100% of the achievements to get my money's worth. it was, however, not worth it. don't buy this game until it actually appears to be a sequel, and not just a semi-worse modded version of the first.
