This game is pretty darn cool, the music and atmosphere are great and it manages to bring a feeling of nostalgia of games past. You can progress though the areas rather freely, just be careful of getting slapped up if you end up in a zone beyond your level. I am looking forward to seeing how the game shapes up in the end, but as of right now it is a good experience if you like dungeon crawlers.
