Before I start with the 4 key points I want to touch on please understand this: DO NOT BUY THIS GAME IF YOU DON'T HAVE FRIENDS TO PLAY WITH. (and I did a full PK run for my first playthrough)

1) The "Story"- I don't think anyone comes into this game expecting RDR2 but, this is a joke. Characters come and go as the story needs them to, rarely contributing anything other than telling you to do something for them; or maybe even just giving you a small sob story so you're able to predict they die within that mission. Most of the characters you meet are obnoxious or bland, there is no inbetween. The writing is so predictable myself and 2 other friends were able to predict EVERYTHING that was gonna happen, there was no subtle foreshadowing, no good twists, no heart-wrenching scenes. Not to mention the plotholes that are never explained, such as Barney somehow escaping PK imprisonment. Oh, and Lawan magically appearing at the top of the building that nobody was able to set foot on since the Nightrunners fell; A great way to take away all accomplishment you would feel from one of the longest missions in the game where you watch all of your comrades die. All in all a noncoherent ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ snoozefest.

2) The Skills- To keep this simple...many, many useless skills that either don't work because of bugs or poor design. Many favorite features from the first game have either been dumbed down or are now comically stupid. Leaves a lot to be desired, feels like the devs barely tried.

3)Map+Parkour-
The Map- First area just feels fine, nothing really feels as natural as the first area in DL1 but is still passable; still able to get around just fine without any skills or gadgets. Then theres the second area...whew. While feeling like somewhat of a proper city you are left with only 1 option to really get around most of the area, the paraglider. While the paraglider feels just ok once you get the hang of it, it is all you end up using; no point in parkouring when you can soar through the air for a whole district without ever losing all your stamina. Compared to the first area, there are probably not even half of the buildings you're able to reach by just jumping from building to building; you're forced to glide. This ultimately makes it just overall less interesting and fun and you end up just waiting until you get the boost for the paraglider to speed things up.

The Parkour- Its fine, about what you can expect from most games with parkour. I decided that this needed to have its own little section to just point out a few small things...the game design sometimes makes the parkour feel incredibly janky, you have literal spring legs that become more apparent with certain skills; and last but not least.....YOU GET STUCK RANDOMLY. For example: I would go to climb a pipe and instead of moving up, Aiden will wiggle his arms a little bit and most likely turn into a pinata for zombies. This problem seemed to be exclusive to me during my playthrough with 2 others, I could never find out what caused it or when it would happen. I have died several times with ~400-700 night time bonus points, missed the gold in a parkour challenge by literal seconds; both because I was forced to jump back down to the ground in order to reset myself. This was not rare, and incredibly frustrating.

4) The Bugs(+1 Game Design Knit-Pick)- Due to myself wasting 45+ minutes typing this up i'm gonna make this quick. Infinite loading screens, corpse bugs such as dead zombies standing up and being unlootable, crashing, frame-rate issues (especially in area 2) and last but not least: The ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "All Players Required" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. I have never EVER seen a game make you watch a cutscene, end, walk 10 feet, talk to somebody, another cutscene triggers. Tie this in with the game requiring you to have all players present to open a door, you can imagine what this looks like. You are forced to abondon whatever you're doing if your co-op partner(s) want to do anything. This constantly took myself and 2 others out of the game and broke any sense of immersion we would have, ultimately becoming a running joke.

I WILL REPEAT: DO NOT PLAY THIS GAME IF YOU DON'T HAVE OTHER MASOCISTS TO PLAY WITH!!!!!
