This should've been an early access release.

It's very clear that the development team working on this game is extremely passionate and has worked very hard to make this the best it can be. However, this game has been very blatantly rushed out the door by higher ups at Frontier in order to try to meet the holiday 2024 release window.

I am very happy that the team has shared with us a clear roadmap of free updates moving forward to make the game what the dev team intended. Had this game been given another year in the oven, the launch would've been fine.

Overall, at present moment the game is fine and is rapidly improving. The development team's communication with the community has been nice. Just very sad that this game was so clearly released before it was able to be polished. Had the game launched in some kind of early access, I'm sure the launch reception would have been very different.

Great work to the dev team, but screw the execs that kicked this thing out the door before it was done.

This game completely changed the genre forever. Planet Coaster is to the theme park management genre what Cities: Skylines was to the city builder genre. It's no surprise so many people have sunk hundreds to thousands of hours into just this game. Masterpiece
