A visually stunning, unique, psychological adventure game, the cat lady is by far one of my favorite games I've played to date. Its story and array of characters are extremely well thought out, with only minor conflicting elements here and there that one could easily look over.

I think one of my favorite things about this game is that the protagonist, Susan, is extremely relatable in most aspects, especially if you are someone suffering from depression. The game handles it very well, and doesn't dare sugarcoat the negative aspects of the illness. It's in your face, along with many other uncomfortable themes people never really want to think about when playing a game, but that, I think, makes it all the more fun.

The puzzles in the cat lady are moderately difficult. There were times where I was stuck and had to pull up a walkthrough because I missed one tiny detail, but other than that - it was very enjoyable. You may get frustrated playing the cat lady, but rest assured, you are not the only one that screams "What the hell is your moms name?!?!" repeatedly at the screen until you manage to figure it out.

All in all, a magnificent game with incredible artwork that works perfectly with the story and overall theme of the game.

But wait, you ask yourself, why is she giving it a 9 out of 10 if she likes it so much?

Well, that's very easy to answer:

There was a severe lack of cat puns through the course of the game. Not once did I hear "How do you like meow?" or "Are you kitten me?" not even a "Purrfect"! and for that greatly missed opportunity I'm going to have to deduct a point. If you're looking for cat puns in a game called the cat lady, you're going to be terribly disappointed.
