Early Access Review
I played only the free weekend and found the game very fun with a co-op partner playing. There are some neat options fo ryour leader and gang, but I would say the one limiting factor is only having two very similar maps at the moment. STill, this is during early access, and I feel like the addition of new maps and modes is likely, and when that happens, I would definitely buy this game. :)

This is a fun beat-em up game in the style of an 8 or 16 bit sort of game, but with mechanics similar to a slimmed-down Devil May Cry with many more weapon options. This is procedurally generated, with three basic tilesets and bossqes for each of the three worlds.

Pros
- Enjoyable graphics
- Cute story/characters
- Fun gameplay
- Lots of upgrades and weapon options!

Cons
- Camera control is a little wonky. It can get stuck in walls and behind bad guys often.
- Final stage bugs: I have made it through a few times through the whole game, and made it to the last stage many times now, but the camera will break or the level will break, with platforms going inaccessible and requiring the game be quite. Game breaking kind of stuff here, ruining longer playthroughs.

I'm not very far into the game just yet but so far it's been really enjoyable. The atmosphere is definitely spooky and the sound design is pretty great for making it seem like you're surrounded on all sides by crazies and creatures you don't want to meet. One thing I've seen some others say in reviews is that the puzzles come with little to no hints on how to proceed with them and often come to a wandering trip or trial and error. From what I've seen so far, that seems to be my opinion of things as well. Overall, I think this is a solid, scary game. Some more time spent on offering some guidance into puzzles without actually making them easier would be good, though.

This game has a cute premise but it's very much Mario Kart lite. The maps are short, with only the final race (a combination of all other maps in the retirement community) being a substantial race. Otherwise, I could race friends and be done with a race in a couple of minutes at a time. Yes, you can put it up to triple as many laps, but three laps of an interesting, varied map seems like more fun to me. This game doesn't quite get my recommendation at full price, but I'd say if you find it around half or lower it's a good play.

10/10 would pretend to be Michael Jackson murdering my friends again over voice chat at any time.

DOOM (capitalized because everything in 2016 is now) is as rad as the old school dooms when it comes to singleplayer. You can ignore the story pretty much entirely because we all know by now demons + space + GORE = FUN. The gameplay is fast and crazy, there's very very light RPG elements to upgrading some basic gun functions, and if you actually care, you can hunt down the story items and see what's what. The graphics are killer and with the vulcan upgrade, even nvidia users are seeing small performanc eincreases while amd users are getting big leaps in this game. Check it out for singleplayer alone, but in my opinion, multiplayer isn't all that fun.

The game is free, you can voice act it yourself, and it's both fun and short. The ending is a fun play on things and if you've already played, maybe you should check out my gaming channel's playthrough to see what a good time we had with this awesome game.

I bought this game due to the great looking sprites and retro styling, along with a fair bit of humor from what I saw before it was released. I haven't put much time into it yet because like many others, I found this game to be more mobile 'game' than game. You train, you lose stats, you retrain over and over. The game isn't really such a thing, unless you just want to play excel sheet trainer. You never actually do anything to affect the outcomes of fights other than slotting abilities and watching your fighter stand in a ring.

In all honesty, this feels like a mobile game meant for microstransactions to buy things to keep your stats from falling, except even those games have spots where you can tap around on the screen to do literally anything besides travel from spot to spot.

I really do want to like this game. Good sprites, good asthetic, and a good name. The reality though? There's no game to this thing. It's just a RNG machine that you pull the crank on every now and then.

Early Access Review
This game is just amazing in every regard. The sound design is completely on point, bringing you into a deeper sense of immersion as you play. You may not notice the subtle pattering of rain outside the house, the crackle of thunder, and the creak of floorboards underfoot. You may not consciously notice, that is. Every creak and groin and thump in the house just drags you intot he creepy atmosphere and really puts you in the setting.

The graphics are amazing, and really show what Unity can actually do as an engine when put to task by a developer who is willing to put such detailed environments together. I was amazed when I found that this was an engine that a few years ago would not have been remotely considered capable of such feats by the general public. But in this game we get to really see the engine showcased, and can appreciate the great detail of artwork put into this game.

The environments are limited to one area, but are varied despite this, even with the house appearing to have loopbacks and backtracking. The maps are just that well done, and really permit the scares of this game to hit you suddenly and with consistency.

I played this with someone else and we were genuinely impressed and creeped out at every turn. I cannot recommend this game more highly, to the point where other scary and impressive games that came out this Halloween season were left with us comparing them to Layers of Fear and effortlessly choosing Layers as the superior scary game. I can't wait to see what comes as more of the final product is released.

Any game that lets you use a power to wildly fling ragdoll physic bodies off of a cliff doesn't need any other recommendation. It's an Elder Scrolls game, which can be hit and miss for some folks, but if you're open to experiencing an open world sort of RPG with a story that lets you approach at your own pace? This is a great game. More so, if you don't like any aspect of it? You can just go ahead and download mods to change nearly any portion of it.
