The best free game that I've ever played on Steam and probably my second favorite puzzle game that I've played this year.

I was so impressed by the demo that I backed this game on Kickstarter a bunch of years ago, and it's the only project that I've ever backed. It's up there with the sokoban games like Stephen's Sausage Roll and Bonfire Peaks but it's significantly more fun than those games and has a much better difficulty curve. I also consider it to be a cozy game. It's music and old school graphics are giving me Stardew Valley-like vibes.

I've been replaying this game with the Snakebird Complete edition, and I'm astounded by how quickly it gets extremely difficult and baffled by how it has received "Overwhelmingly Positive" reviews. Despite this, it's still a fantastic game. Although I strongly recommend playing Snakebird Primer first.

Short open world game with lots of charm, great Monument Valley-like graphics, and great sound design. Unfortunately, the puzzles kind of stink.

Loving this game so far. I'm not very far and have only beat the first island, but it has fantastic puzzles and no filler. It's as if there's a eureka moment every single time I solve a puzzle, which is accompanied by a quick rush of euphoria. I've probably never felt so good about unlocking an achievement as I did when the first one popped up: "Reach the altar on Initiate's Island."

The game is REALLY difficult though. My one complaint is about its difficulty curve: it's tough from the start. So it reminds me of other games like that such as Stephen's Sausage Roll (which I also loved) and Snakebird (which I didn't really enjoy it until after I played Snakebird Primer and learned how to solve more than a few levels in the original game).

My favorite game from the CosmOS 9 bundle so far. Like a lo-fi version of The Witness from the creator of the best puzzle game of the year. so far Game is a lot smaller than his previous one.

Possible spoiler: If you want to 100% it, near the end, it becomes about discovering puzzles rather than solving them. Just like the bonus environmental puzzles in The Witness.

I currently have 1 puzzle left to find.

I enjoyed this, but preferred The Whispered World (this is a sequel to it). I wish Daedalic hadn't been so influenced by Telltale Games and that Silence had been a more traditional point and click game. Although one thing it has going for it is its graphics: it might be the most beautiful point and click game ever made. It's a shame how long the loading times are between screens, but perhaps that's because I don't have a high-end computer. Also, there's no manual saves and I found it unclear when the save points actually occurred. Perhaps it mentioned it at the beginning, but I took a long break between starting the game and going back to playing it. Maybe I forgot how to identify the save point.

Good for a free game and a first-time effort (if it's actually their first game). Game is well-made with decent art and voice acting, but the writing is a bit mediocre and the puzzles often aren't very good. Gave me nostalgia of the absurd solutions for puzzles in adventure games from the 90s that gave the genre a bad reputation. There's even one where you have to create a fake mustache (fortunately without using cat fur and maple syrup). The code/password puzzles to open doors are also a little aggravating. The playtime is also much longer than a typical free adventure game.

I'm really into puzzle games, even the difficult ones, but I could never beat more than a handful of levels in the original Snakebird. Since it's known as one of the best puzzle games around, I bought this one in hopes that it would help me get back into the original. And it worked out: after beating this game in a couple of days, I've been able to beat a bunch of levels in the original game that frustrated me so much about a year ago that I gave up on playing it. So this game is successful in that regard. I just wish the original game had actually had a proper difficulty curve so it wouldn't have been necessary to buy this game. It would have been an incredible game if the 2 games had been combined together in the first place, minus the many easy levels in Primer that felt like filler. Although I guess I can't complain too much because I think I got the original game in a bundle for a buck.

Despite Primer being really easy for a while, it gets difficult near the end. Probably a good game for a casual puzzle game player.

Ended up returning this game for a refund.

I enjoyed it for about an hour. The puzzle mechanic is similar to the "record" mechanic in The Talos Principle where you create a clone of yourself, which is also used in Braid and P.B. Winterbottom.

Eventually, I hit a level where I was able to figure out the solution after a while, but I was unable to implement it because I didn't have the patience to endlessly tinker with figuring out the amount of steps that I needed to take and figuring out the spot in the level that I needed to end up landing on (because it's difficult to distinguish one spot from another). After that, I thought to myself, "Oh, I'm going to have this problem with every level from now on," and I quit playing.

I wish the game had an option to add a grid like the one option that's available in Snakebird. It would make the solutions much easier to implement. Would buy again if it's added in a future update.
