I have been playing this game since Operation Health across console and PC and I have never seen this game in a worse state than it is right now. I don't know what is more appalling: that the game appears to be at rock-bottom, or that Ubisoft - rather than resolving (or even acknowledging) the abundance of issues - doesn't consider it a priority.

Playing this game is like choosing to take on a (second?) full-time job. You will both love and hate this game, but somehow be continually drawn to it.

It's a high risk and high reward survival game that will nearly give you a heart attack at times.

I love this game and would recommend it if you're a fan of survival games and don't have anger issues.

Some advice up-front: what you think you own is only temporarily yours. Don't get too attached to what you obtain or you will be upset.

I have had so much fun playing this game. I started playing it on PS4 when it came out for free with the Playstation Plus subscription. I played it for countless amounts of hours; with friends and without, this game is always enjoyable. If you are a fan of scary/horror movies, this is a perfect balance between being cinematic but still playable (comparing to Heavy Rain & Detroit: Become Human). The music is fantastic, the cosmetics and designs are so delightfully creative, and all of this combined with the collaborative/strategic, objective-based gameplay keeps it incredibly exciting.

Some people will post angry reviews about server lag, bugs, blah blah. I think these are fair reasons to be disappointed, but do not warrant the discrediting of the entirety of the end product here: an immersive, heart-racing thriller that not only delivers a unique gameplay experience, but one that also includes familiar themes from popular movies & shows (Halloween, Stranger Things, Scream, etc).

With all of the above stated, for $20, this is an absolute steal. And if you can get while it's on sale ($7.99 at the time of this review), then more power to you. I got this game on PS4 for free, purchased it on PC, and also purchased it on Nintendo Switch - if that's any indicator of how much enjoyment it has brought me.
