I'm gonna be honest this game is as bad as OG Skate fans/players were dreading being some weird mesh of MMO and Live Service when we really just wanted an updated game... As far as I can tell they have done zero physics/gameplay updates in the 15 years since skate 3 came out.

That being said, I still bought the Founder Edition (er premium or whatever), I know I'm gonna sink time in to a new skateboarding game in the past 15 years that isn't whatever the hell country Tony has has outsourced that completely embarrassing franchise to.

So if you're 20s-30s and obsessed with the skate franchise, I mean it's an update. It's not great, but honestly $50 for an updated game, I'd rather spend it on this than many other mainstream game with barely remastered graphics/audio and they want 40-60 for it. At least skate has actually been paying attention to playtesting, I'm not convinced they're understanding why people don't like them, but they're better than any company that's rebooting their FPS games for the 20th time in 16 years.

At 250 hours I should recommend this game I guess, it is amazing, but don't play if you expect any sort of end game. I've scoured the internet, apparently devs have sort of abandoned it, you'll get to a point in any daily run, and I've tested on Windows/Mac/Linux, that you'll randomly not be able to move, and when you quit and reload your file will be corrupted. It's much rarer in normal play, I think only has happened to me on my Macbook Pro, but the daily run is absolutely frustrating. To the point I keep coming back to 250 hours tune, but it's very annoying the devs all moved on, so you're on your own if you want to play this game in 2024.
