Buggy like every Battlefield. Stupid like every Battlefield. Fun like every Battlefield.

Changed my review, games pretty fun but the bugs, lack of depth and lack of variety really kills the experience. Jets look ridiculous flying around and making instant 90 degree flips and turns, vehicles are way too strong. I don't recommend it.

The game is, above all else, fun to play. It currently has some bugs that I suspect will be patched out relatively soon. It definitely doesn't have the difficulty curve that Isaac can have but I sort of prefer that. RNG has less to do with victory, as long as you're paying attention to what you're doing and take some time on your turns. Definitely worth it considering the cost is so low!

Free to play is worth it, if you can snag Shadowkeep, it's worth it. If you want Forsaken wait for a bundle. Great fun either way!

It's free, it's fun but be prepared for the following:
1.Everyone is going to be better than you.
2. The servers are made out of a potato battery, an early 90s Nokia cell phone's network card and a trash can full of used diapers.
3. Spending real world money to unlock champions - unless you want to grind for eternity.
4. Fun.

I used to play Quake back in the day, more "recent" history had me play the Hell out of Team Fortress 2. This seems to be filling that role again.

Gameplay: It's what you'd expect from a Telltale game - sort of like a TV show with quicktime events. Everything felt fluid, the slow-downs for your interactive input felt cinematic instead of hindering.
Story: I've played just the first episode, of course. Based off just that, however, I feel like we've got a great early Batman story on our hands. I really enjoy Batman stories involving the early days when it was thugs and mob bosses and he was learning how to be an ideal as well as balance his rage with striking fear into his foes. Can't wait to see where it leads us in the future.
Appearance: I think the game looks just fine (it's a Telltale game, expect that appearance) and plays fine after the patch. The only wonky thing I noticed was a scene near the end where your actions as Batman were recapped on the news. The reporter seemed somewhat pieced together with quick-cuts between different segments of the story. It wasn't too jarring but I did notice it. Overall, an unimportant issue as it existed in previous games recaps as well.

Overall, I rate it a "Buy It/10"

What can I say about this game that hasn't already been said?
A massive disappointment, through and through. The mod was lightyears beyond the quality of this abomination. Character movement and gunplay are clunky and those are the two things that you primarily have to do in this game.

The player base, beyond this, is awful. This game, which used to be about survival and holding people up over flat out murdering them, has become about... well, flat out murdering people.

This game is APPARRENTLY out of Alpha despite the fact that it still tells you at start-up that it's an EARLY RELEASE. It is trash.

I run an i7 6700k @ 4.7GHz and a 980ti along with 16GB of DDR4 2400 and it still runs like trash.

Do not waste your money on this game - it is a wholly unenjoyable experience wrought with bugs, a dev. team that has abandoned it's fan base and a player base made up of people who hunt helpless, unarmed players.

Update (4 years later) After several years (My review was written in 2016), I can say that I think they've made monumental efforts to improve this game to the point that it is worth playing. It's still rough but a lot has improved. Find your way onto community servers and have fun.
