This is such a great shooter, so different to everything else on the market. A steep learning curve, where you won't do any good until after a few hours. Amazing sound design. Only issue I do have is I have a pretty decent rig, however do need to drop a lot of settings to get 60+ frames. Hopefully this will get better with updates. Great job devs, you have my full support.

UPDATE: Played around with some further graphics settings, and now get a buttery smooth 100+. Just needs some tweaking. Well done guys

I bought Doom on XBOX One when it originally came out, and could not put it down. It was hands down, my GOTY for 2016. Having bought it again on Steam while on sale, I still feel the same way. Such a refined, fun and well paced shooter for old school shooter fans like myself. No OTT story, just kills demons because their demons. I love it. 9.5/10

UPDATE: So after having this game for over a year and being part of the journey, I am so disappointed where we ended up. The sheer greed of this game is beyond comprehension. Everything costs money, every dirty nickel and diming trick is being used. I am done with PUBG, they simply don't care for their fanbase or have any love for their product. I am a new comer to the 'battle royale' genre, and PUBG is the first one I've played in it. I did a bit of research, and this seems to be the more recommended game, even though its in early access. I haven't played games much in the last 12 months, but this game has me back, hooked, playing for hours each night. Such a great concept, undertaken very well by PU. So far, this is my GOTY. There are some minor issues, being that it is in early access, but they are easily overlooked by the great gameplay. If this game continues to get updated, refined, and hopefully see graphical improvements (the game is not very good looking.. at all) This could hit the mainstream and be the 'next big thing'. Worth the $30, easy.

Having played the CS2 Limited Release, there are some great improvements. Very slick, plays nice, but we just need some more players in so it's not just the ESL wannabes constantly being toxic when they have +1 kills than you and 2000+ hours. This is a great game, with good competitive matchmaking, but some of the players you get who have thousands of hours, are toxic to their team mates and yet are the same ability as you gets tiresome. Certainly not a critique of the developer, more of a commentary on the 'pro-scene' and how players get the idea they are S1Mple from watching some YT clips and eating their Doritos.

Great game. I do not think it deserves such a low metascore. It is a recreation of a classic, and works flawlessly. There is no features ommited.
