I initially had high hopes for this game after seeing the promotional videos. I have played for just shy of an hour now and I can reliably tell you that these expectations were nowhere near met - not only for me, but tons of other reviewers.

To start, this game's all about making phones. Design a mobile phone model and then hire some employees to do the R&D for you. Send it to be manufactured and then receive reviews from which you can improve your next model. Use research points to buy new stuff for your new phone to make customers even happier and keep the money rolling in.

Making my first phone was quite fun. There's lots of customisability, down to setting the thickness of your phone, modifying its specs in detail and choosing a processor and OS. 'Sounds great so far', you might be thinking. I agree- everything's fine and dandy until you realise that there is no preset saving feature, meaning that you must redo every. Single. Feature. With no less than eight production stages, each chock full of these features. This is, not through fault of its own, where the extreme detail backfires on itself. If your desire is to create a huge and diverse line of mobile phones as any mobile manufacturer does, I wish you luck. You'll find yourself getting bored after making 2 or 3 phones because you must go through the same options each and every time you decide to bring a new phone to the market. Nothing new is brought to the table apart from if you unlock some higher specs for your new phone-to-be, in which case you unlock one extra button to click. Hooray.

After you finish the design of your new phone, it's sent off to be produced. At this point, you receive reviews from customers from 0 - 10 based on how well you have tailored your mobile phone to their needs. Unfortunately, those who make a poorly tailored smartphone are not given the advice needed to improve next time. Examples of poor reviews- verbatim- include:
  • 'I bought it for temporary use, it will pass muster.' 3 / 10 rating
  • 'This smartphone needs some serious improvements!' 5 / 10 rating
  • 'It's just a waste of money...' 6 / 10 rating
  • 'This smartphone has some drawbacks, let's hope the future versions will be better.' 7 / 10 rating
  • 'Neither here nor there' 2 / 10 rating
  • '0' 7 / 10 rating (literally what? Must have been a development oversight)
Sure, I'll give the game some credit for having the occasional review such as 'Volume buttons too low!' or 'The price is too high ... Few people can afford to buy this device!' but reviews are overall really inadequate for those wanting the full picture.
For one, they are much too brief; reviewers only write (albeit barely at all) about their biggest gripe with your mobile phone instead of listing everything that they would like to see improved. This leads you to essentially play a guessing game with your customers' needs- I don't know about you, but guessing the best phone features isn't fun for me when my mobile phone startup company and my game progress is on the line. Oh, and remember how there is no design preset saving? Double good luck trying to remember what all of the best features and placements for maximising reviews are when you have to do every single thing from scratch repeatedly through eight stages of phone design. This is officially a memory testing game.
Secondly, reviews are inconsistent with their associated ratings. 'It's just a waste of money' isn't what you would say if you thought that something was a solid 6 / 10, yet this happens for some reason in this game. This game's logic (or rather the lack thereof) leaves me scratching my head at times. I feel that reviewers are too harsh- they could easily be made to list the things that they like about your phone that they would like to see next time and weigh this up against the things that they don't like in a simple list. This would make reviews much more meaningful than they are currently.

We arrive lastly at the most bugging problem- or rather series of problems- being the lack of polish and deathly QA. It's a real shame that this game feels so unpolished because the UI looks excellent; it's sleek, stylish and works great with the theme the game is running. Allow me to point out some polish-related issues.
  • Loading screens shouldn't exist for a game as simplistic as this, let alone last upwards of 5 seconds. Sure, this point may feel weak, but when you want to get into the flow of things and you have loading screens everywhere you begin to rapidly lose IQ points while staring at a rotating circle.
  • Spelling errors and the like. When looking at a potential candidate, their location was written down as 'Grear Britain'. There are some other errors that are too inconsequential to be written here but still make you double-check your vision.
  • UI gripes include some GUI's requiring you to click a very small X to exit out instead of being able to press esc. This inconsistency gets annoying after a short while. Moreover, GUI's with sliders are equally as annoying because you cannot simply click on the bar to shift the slider, but you rather have to tediously navigate the mouse to a very small sliding part to move it.

To conclude, the game has this great novelty for the first few minutes that you are playing until you realise that it all becomes a grind in which you do the same thing over and over again just to make customers happy with a flawed review system. I personally wouldn't recommend this game in its current state- however, if you're into a repetitive slog, then this game is right up your alley. However, before purchasing I would recommend that you watch a playthrough of the game to make sure that you know what you are getting into.

Really loved this game after buying it! The new mechanics in this game work very well and I was captivated by the Feeds and Censor system in this game. The interference system requiring your attention combined with the need to constantly swap cameras and censor the bad stuff in order to keep your viewer count up keeps you on your toes makes for an energising experience.

In my opinion, the acting is great and it helps to give you a small glimpse of the personalities of the main cast both when on-air and off-air- while there is not loads in the way of character development of the main cast at present from the few hours that I've played, I assume that this will probably be worked on at a later stage while core mechanics and gameplay are touched up on. The game also makes great use of comedic timing since having to swap cameras away from streakers to keep primetime telly appropriate and watching the main cast get repeatedly shocked by power surges while live on air makes for loads of laughs.

I'm also fond of the exposition breaks in between the core gameplay. In a way, it reminds me of a lighter version of the exposition given at the start of Firewatch because both help you to feel more immersed in the world. Perhaps it is too early in development to comment on this, but I do feel as if there should be greater consequences for my actions in these exposition sequences - after all, I gave away my character's only passport and offered to recklessly fund an expensive holiday for a family member when the budget was already overstretched. Maybe I am just being too impatient as it is still early days for this game.

My only issue with the game at the moment is that, when I have completed a round and am moving on to the next round from the Archive (or from an exposition break), my game freezes 100% of the time. This happens either at the day counter, just before it is done flicking to the current day, or right at the start of the round when the phone rings. My graphics settings are all on low so I'm assuming that it does not have much to do with them. My only working solution to this at the moment is to use Task Manager to leave the game and then reload from where I left off. It doesn't affect much, though, as it only takes about a minute to reload.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this game. It's loads of fun as it is and I'm sure that it'll get even better in the coming months as it is still being worked on.

I recommend this game. Not only is it original (Some people might disagree, but I've never come across a game where the player rebels against a whole force) but it also has it's own destruction system which means that you can destroy practically anything you want, however you want.
Also, this game has cheats. You can modify anything about your character; from the strength of his sledgehammer to the speed of his sprinting, you name it.

To start this review, I find Team Fortress 2 an epic game. It has more features than I had originally expected and I am pleased that I had bought the game.
Here are a few reasons why I enjoy the game:
1. The game is original. After searching through steam aimlessly, I failed to find a game showing any simularity to this game.
2. It has plenty of gamemodes. I am barely ever bored when I play this game as it offers an expansive range of exquisite gamemodes.
3. The multiplayer is good. I love to play some multiplayer (at least 5 hours a week) and I especially enjoy 'silly' servers (e.g LazyPurple)

To start this review, I'll explain what The Escapists is. This game is an 8-bit simulation type. It makes you pick a character and gives you an insight in to prison life, as well as trying to escape the prison. You follow routines in order to keep the guards off of your back.

I like this game as:
1. It's original. I have never seen a game like this before and I tend to recommend original or uncopied games. The routines vary from prison to prison as well as the level of security so that not everything is a doppleganger of one another.
2. I find this game oddly addictive unlike some other games I have come across. I always try to escap with no avail yet I am always trying and trying again showing no signs of boredom whatsoever.
3. This game is in very early stages. There are some things I dislike about this game (e.g some items are too much of a challenge to obtain) but they will probably either be fixed or changed in later versions which means that most things that need fixing or changing will be fixd and changed by the time the game is finished.
