Has fun gameplay at the core of it, but feels half-baked. Instead of fixing the numerous bugs or adding more to and improving the roguelike dungeon exploration to make it get less same-y, a bland, buggy, and irritating story and town-building mode was added. That locks progression behind tedium instead of giving the player more ways to engage with the interesting part of the game. There are hundreds of town-building games with actually fleshed out mechanics, I want there to be more substance to the one interesting thing this game does.

My friends got into two games in late middle school/early high school. Duck game and smash brothers (for the wii u, yuck). Smash eventually won out because duck game didn't have support for more than 4 players at the time, but whenever we'd have <= 4 people it could go either way. I got in to a lot of local multiplayer games back then, but I don't really see any of them the way I see duck game now. I'm talking feeling a lil melancholy listening to the (fantastic) soundtrack, we made some great memories and I think in part it is due to how fantastic and special duck game is as a game. There's a weird little interaction for everything, it's clear that a lot of love and thought went into every aspect. It's also one of those games with a really high skill ceiling where you can be a nerd and get really good at it and play against other nerds online, but I don't have it in me anymore. I can still dog most of my friends when we play though so that's something. Anywho yeah I'd recommend it if you have friends to play with.

I loved this game when I was younger but ngl after playing it recently its not really fun

Not fun also when the game was coming out the developer let press cut me in line at pax and i didn't get the chance to play it because i had to leave and i still hold a grudge to this day

Played a bit, tried to finish the game recently and it crashes every time I try to open the game. The game itself is fun, but there still isn't official support for this issue.

Alright so look it's this goofy sandbox battle royale but everything's based off of weird physics

Very unique roguelike with a dope aesthetic and lore. All of the things you can do can seem overwhelming at first, but if you just focus on grinding against wimpy enemies near the starting town you'll not only be introduced to the character growth mechanics well but also be in a situation where you can mess up and not be punished too badly (Unless you mess with the glowpads). The mechanics have a crazy amount of depth, with a personal favorite of mine being the reputation system with all the different groups that inhabit the Caves of Qud world. Kill a special version of a certain creature, you'll gain negative reputation with that species but also positive reputation with other creatures that dislike that species. The game is surprisingly difficult, I always die whenever I feel like I'm finally getting powerful. However, I'm sure I'm just not over the difficulty curve yet. Well worth the money if you have time to learn the game, it's a lot of fun when you know what to do.

Fun for a little bit when just goofing around, but really shines when actually playing board games with pals. Be sure you have friends to play with when you buy it though.

Dev is working on the game again. For 3 bucks it's a lot of fun,
