My first play through that I actually finished was 130 hours long and I was hooked from start to finish. I recently picked up a debilitating injury that's forced me off my feet and this game made a pretty depressing time for me much more enjoyable.

Act 1 and 2 were both absolutely fantastic, basically perfect. I don't really think I have anything to add or critique except for a Halsin bug that broke him for the entirety of Act 2 and I was forced to leave him stuck there trying to fix the shadow cursed lands by himself, lol.

Act 3 however did have it's issues, I found it to be almost overwhelming for awhile with the amount of things to do, places to see and people to talk to. That being said I'm definitely one of those players that has to interact with every single civilian, cat and empty crate there is so that may have been more of a me issue.
There was pretty obvious half baked or just straight up cut content in certain areas which always sucks to see, considering the quality of the rest of the game. Finally, I did encounter a fair amount of bugs and performance issues in Act 3 with a PC that really shouldn't struggle at all. The worst offenders were the numerous cutscene bugs where everyone would just awkwardly freeze in time and stare at each other while the next scene/ environment loaded. I experienced this a number of times right at the end of the game in the final cutscenes which definitely ruined the tension a little.

With all of that being said, those issues are the only I faced in all 130 hours of playing so that's pretty damn good for a game of this size and scope. That's me being fairly nit-picky too. The positives of this game so so far outweigh the occasional weird cutscene or bug that i'd still rate this game a 95/100. It would take me a long time to go through each and every part of this game I enjoyed so much and although I felt this game was so good i'd write a review for it, I cannot be bothered.

In conclusion, this game is my first D&D experience of any kind and I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ loved it. This game alone gave me hope for the future of gaming and reminded me that not all game devs care more about microtransactions than the games they produce, only most of them. Thank you Larian Studios for this masterpiece, you deserve all the love and money coming your way.

Wow i'm sorry this game is terrible. So many basic features you would expect from a sports game in 2023 are missing but that can be forgiven as i'm aware it's a small team of developers.
The gameplay, however, is just plain terrible. Constant holding the balls because the AI seemingly has super lunge tackle capabilities along with slowing down time for your player as you go to do anything with the ball. Very frustrating, unsatisfying gameplay that has been done better in the past by previous AFL games.
The patches have very slightly improved gameplay but not nearly enough.

This is the best squid game of all time.
