I played the beta a bunch, and this is still jank as ♥♥♥♥. Incredibly frustrating mechanics in so many areas

Awful grind, awful economy, and developers who constantly want to make things worse over time.

If you miss the type of game Rainbow 6 was, where you planned out missions and took down targets, and it felt really rewarding...this game is for you.

I wish it had a soundpack for the old R6 voicelines etc, perhaps more workshop support, but it's still an amazing game!

Let this game consume your life.

This is an absolutely fantastic game and if you haven't bought or played it yet and you have a VR headset... you definitely should.

With the latest update, adding progression to the weapon vault guns they won me over.

There's enough content here now that i'd actually recommend someone buy this.

Buy Steel Division 2 or Red Dragon instead (and perhaps also World In Conflict) - and check back in a few months.

Alyx is a great game for showing off what VR can do. It is a great game for showing that you can have an engaging story with really high end graphics and lots of usage of what VR has to offer.

Unfortunately for me, it became a slog. It became something I had to force myself to finish, because it felt like the story was spread too thin and the puzzling was spread too thick. I felt left alone with no dialogue far too often, and I feel as if the game could have been shorter and I would have enjoyed it more.

HOWEVER, it is still a game I'd wholeheartedly recommend getting - I've gotten 11 hours of challenging entertaining gameplay out of it.

This game takes a lot after X-Com, with a more grounded story and the developers have shown that they listen to the community and fix things incredibly fast. That's a thumbs up for me thus far!
