Hands down one of the best stories I've ever experienced. If you've played MICA's other titles, this adds a ton of world-building and lore that you'll undoubtedly appreciate. If you know nothing of 'Girls' Frontline' and it's narrative, this game still stands on its own. It's amazing, just play it.

I am now based and Mita-pilled. Worth every penny.

I love trivializing the game by corralling every animal into a field with the ATV and killing them with my two glocks 10/10

Worst game I've ever played

It was a lot of fun, but I'd wait for it to go on sale.

Honestly I wasn't expecting much, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. This game is breathtaking. The visuals are simply incredible, and the story was so emotional. The combat was some of the best I've ever experienced in a video game ever. You can tell at least five minutes were spent making the map, something that is hard to come by these days. If someone had told me this was a Triple A Title I would have believed them. Wasn't expecting Stalin and Hitler to team up, so that was a surprising twist. At the end boss fight where Hitler's AI got stuck on a tree, I started crying. I've never seen something so sad in my life. 10/10 would collect bad memes again.

Fun simple game. You fly around and destroy enemy planes, buildings, and tanks.

Touhou Luna Nights is quite possibly my favorite game of all time. It doesn’t have the most complex story and it isn’t very long, but very few times have I seen such a genuine passion put behind every pixel, every animation, and every music note in a game. The time stop mechanic is amazingly executed, with each level being molded around it to make for progressively interesting platforming and combat. Beautifully made levels alongside new enemies and enemy variants being frequently introduced keeps the game from ever feeling slow or stale as you play towards each boss.

The combat focuses heavily on moving quick while throwing hundreds of knives at your foes, all while dodging enemy attacks as narrowly as you can to activate the ‘Graze’ function, which restores some MP (attack stamina) and potentially HP if the dodge is executed without the usage of time stop.
Alongside your base knife attack and time stop ability, there are a multitude of items you can find throughout the game to enhance your base abilities or to employ new combat strategies, like a honing sword that will automatically attack enemies and projectiles, or the thousand daggers attack which allows you to fulfill your Dio fantasy.
Every boss fight is fairly difficult while not being brutally hard to overcome, each one introducing or building upon previous combat mechanics that you’ll need to use your time stop ability and various gadgets to overcome. The combat is overall incredibly good and straddles a nice line between being difficult while never feeling impossible.

Aside from great level design and combat, another incredible aspect of this game is it’s soundtrack. 30% of my enjoyment came from just how good every stage and boss theme was; each being a masterful remix of the original themes from primarily EoSD, a famous bullet hell game of which (most of) the characters in Luna Nights are derived from. I do not kid when I say that this game’s music is like crack in audio form.

Touhou Luna Nights simultaneously made me realize how fun 2D platformers could be, and introduced me to the wider Touhou community; one of the most vast, insanely talented, and passionate online communities I’ve ever come across, and will probably ever come across again. I sincerely thank Team Ladybug not only for making an amazing game, but also for leading me to discover such an incredible community, and can only hope they revisit the Touhou series with another game sometime in the future.
