This game is for individuals that want almost complete control of their characters in a melee slasher. Most other games that incorporate sword mechanics are going to be severely limited on how much control you actually will have. The way to beat other players is to learn how to attack in new and different ways. The way to not die is to learn how to counter attacks. The cycle continues and you will slowly become more and more in control of how you play the game. Granted, the skill floor is high, but once you are truly in tune with the games mechanics, it is one of the most enjoyable games to play. There isn't a dull moment whether you are on a 10 kill streak with a hammer or you have a dwarf healer running around throwing you med bags and playing tunes on a guitar. Will you get frustrated? Absolutely. Will you spend the first 40-80 hours dying to people way better than you? Most likely. The skill floor is high, but once you are standing on it, you can see for miles.
