While I love the Kingdom series, this DLC is bugged AF. I had to quit and return to the game multiple times because grass doesn't spawn, my crops die because the grass doesn't spawn (for some reason), the wrong shop spawns and I can't get shields and get stuck between portals...
The music is amazing, the new mechanics are awesome, but this ruins gameplay for me. If the devs would fix these bugs, I'd be the perfect amount of difficulty and fun for me.

1 year later review: this whole game and especially Xen still brings a big smile on my face.

I would have called it a remaster until I got to Xen. This is something else. Worth playing and worth coming back to.

Played this game a while ago on an old laptop. It worked relatively well, however I can't make it work on newer PCs, which is a shame.

Learning all kinds of new words in different languages. None of them good.

I like this one. It's got that old-timey game feel to it. Not talking about graphics or music (which are awesome!), but about the fact that I miss games that don't have checkpoint every 2 minutes. It's way more satisfying for me to win a boss fight or progress through a level knowing that I got there on my own skill.

Great game! Don't forget to upgrade your chariot!
