If you like slot machines but aren't allowed in the gambling venues. I would say this is about as close as you will get without betting real money and pay outs are based on what is seen not what lines up ... even though certain adjacent symbols will boost the payout. I would definitely recommend this game for short runs like if you have to leave in 15-30 min.

The only issue I have been having is that after 4 hours of not playing I trying to start the game up I am told the game won't open. It fixes itself after a file verification but this has happened to me 5 times already. I have never been able to start the game 2 times in 1 day if I go to work between plays.

Great game with so much to do between just random builds to actual progressing survival. Along with all the random events and unique combinations of items and weapons there is so many ways to play that there is no 1 correct way. But beware some builds do take a little bit to set up.

What can I say that everyone else hasn't already said. This is bad buggy beyond all reason for how long this has been on steam.

I originally got this game on the Xbox 360 and loved it then and still do now.

For those that want details on why to buy this game. If you like loot and shoot games this is a perfect example of one with added crude humor.

This game has been in development for 4+ years and new content is added almost every 1-2 months whether it is in the form of a new frame (what you play as) with weapons, new cosmetics, new Quests (which usually come with a new frame), or new Prime frame (better versions of the originals that usually take a longer to get).

At the time of this review I have only been playing for 2 years of their development and got nearly everything available (missing only about 3-4 event weapons). I also don't see myself stopping anytime soon.

I love Diablo 2 but hate what Blizzard did in making Diablo 3.

Searched around steam just looking for decent games and found Path of Exile.

In all seriousness I love this game though admittedly I am a sucker for rhythm games. Just keep to the beat. Simple concept but the rogue-lite elements and character choices keep it alive and fresh. All of that on top of custom mod in the steam workshop and the ability to add your own music from your PC means your can listen to your favorite music while playing the game but biggest suggestion play to a song that you can easily plan the beats to your movement otherwise you are going to have a hard time.

I got this game because of the memories I had of playing Vol 1-3 on the PS2 and to me this game still holds up. To this day I still regret getting rid of my PS2 and games and love the fact this was released for the PC for a much larger audience.

EDIT: I have just completed all gamplay available I still stand by my original review that the original 3 volumes stand up to how entertaining they were by in 2006 on the PS2 but Vol 4 was not worth it too many inconsistancies, unanswered questions, and too short barely 3 hours long compared to the 18-24 hours per for the previous 3. I think the series should have ended at vol 3 and it would have been fine.

TLDR: Everything in Last Recode is worth getting for nostalgia's sake except for Vol 4.

While this game is not the one I spent the most time in. It is the one I keep returning to. I am unsure if I am a completionist or a masochist for playing this game and wanting to unlock everything but I HIGHLY recommend getting this game just for the fact there is so much content and no 2 runs are the same. Even while running a seeded playthrough you are not guaranteed to get the same outcome as someone else.
Yes it may be annoying getting killed 30 times in a row for not paying attention to your surroundings and dieing by running into a fire but it is also so very fun to start a run with nothing and end up being able to one shot the final boss.

ALSO all of this is being written BEFORE the Afterbith+ update and Steam workshop support. SO MUCH TO COME!!

I know I haven't played this game long but I can't play it. I start it up and it worked ok for a bit and things work ok and then it put me in the first battle to teach me how they worked then NOTHING WORKED I couldn't do anything it told me to do. I do not recommend this game do to lack of it WORKING!!
