The visuals and soundscape completely drew my 5 year old and I into this surreal little universe. No text, no spoken word, but still manages to make this arrangement of bizarre planetoids and their inhabitants believable. The game blends realistic natural world and cartoonish fantasy together in a way that's reminiscent of Botanicula, but here it's much more detailed and convincing. And when I look at it as a whole from a game design perspective, I'm so impressed by how expertly everything is crafted and how much attention was given to small details.
However, the most notable thing about Samorost 3, for me, is that rare feeling I got that can't really be put into words. You get it sometimes after watching art or listening to music, the feeling of a memorable experience, but more than that, you feel touched, and slightly changed. Amanita crew must've really poured their souls into this project.

A must for fans of the old Infinity Engine games.

This game will raise your cortisol levels. It becomes the best John Connor simulator once you get good at it. Rarely a game had such an underserved negative rating.

A game for inquisitive minds, you will be clueless to what's going on; open wide your eyes and ears, observe carefully while you experiment with strange machines. Trial and error... followed by a precious kind of satisfaction from figuring things out with your M I N D. Something is communicated to the player without a single word being used.
