This was clearly a low-budget project, retooling what they had made for Control (and a little bit from Alan Wake 2 👀) to have something on the side to maintain until the Max Payne 1/2 remake and Control 2 come out of the oven.
Wait and see, a couple of good updates could easily make the difference between this being either a dud or a fantastic blend of BioShock and Left 4 Dead. It's fun after getting better equipment after completing your first couple of jobs.

They don't say mods keep games alive indefinitely for nothing. This isn't just any zombie game. Throw in a few addons and it's your zombie game. You can have it bleak or you can have it silly. Make it a Resident Evil game or make it a Call of Duty game. A colorful cast using real-world guns in an SFM straight out of the early-2010s that you can play, or ghillied-up survivors firing cyberpunk guns against a never-ending barrage of tanks wearing tank costumes and hitting Fortnite emotes. This game simply has it all if you look hard enough. There's a Left 4 Dead 2 for everyone!
