I will be honest. I think that after all these years (I perfectly remember all the hype on Tumblr that this game had for the hot daddies and the dark alternative ending), this game's not worth it anymore. I just got through all the possible endings, and I feel a sense of shortfall, even though I laughed out loud and genuinely felt that several of the stories moved me. I’m convinced that I would enjoy D.D.A.D.D.S. a lot more if I played it during its peak because I'm sure that the community raised the fabulous characters of this simulator.

The concept of having only three dates to achieve an ending and also being able to date different characters in a single run without this impacting the interactions between the characters makes the content involving the actual dating not enough. I didn’t like at all the dadsona creator, and the interface is lacking + it’s pretty common to encounter bugs like characters appearing where they shouldn’t… it’s not the most inconvenient, but it's still irritating.

Considering this, my biggest complaint is that the possibilities feel too scarce.
Overall, even though I loved the characters (especially Damien, Hugo, and Craig), this dating sim doesn’t deliver as much as it could.

... still, after all, I will always remember Damien as one of my favorite dating characters. 10/10 for the Goth daddy

I like existencialism in my characters stories, and this delivers while also meeting with what I would expect in a game about demise, reapers, and life. Death and Taxes is really a simulator of just "a totally normal office job" that tries to touch our hearts by presenting us with a lot of human life stories facing death and not the best orders... latest, with which we will decide their fates.

Others' reviews, considering that its gameplay converts into a repetitive loop, aren't wrong. The experience can get pretty unvaried, but in this case, I consider that this characteristic is part of the "charm" of a simulator being a Grim Reaper doing its work in an office through paperwork. Precisely, the characters also express how dull their job is.

It may not be worth replaying this game again and again just to obtain all the achievements. But, even considering this, I come back from time to time to Fate's office to just chill and play with having the threads of destiny in my hands.

Sincerely, I would rather have a dull conversation, being left on read, with real people than this.

The conversation frustrated me more than everything else... and that good ending. Good lord. I was about to lose it for a second after obtaining that simp achievement on my first playthrough.

Creepy Stardew Valley, but with less good mechanics and not the best execution of characters' stories because of the timing in which one encounters them. Anyway, I consider that Graveyard Keeper is enjoyable for those who like simulation games with funny twists and ghoulish themes.

I will continue playing just to design a masterpiece of a cemetery.
Overall, this simulator is a 6/10.

A challenging, intense, and atmospheric survival manager.

My first time playing the game felt kind of hostile because of the constant challenge of maintaining the generator while the population is suffering, but it’s too easy to engage through trying to finish the setting. Getting to discover how to manage everything was very satisfying.

Lastly, I’m obsessed with its soundtrack. It’s one of the best things about this game, along with its steam punk, apocalyptic, and freezing atmosphere.

Not what I expected... but I enjoyed the immersive story, its art, and the accuracy of the historical moment that the game makes us experience in first person.

I finished the 4 chapters in 6 hours.
Its forte is its story, but I should say that I have already tried most of the options that are given through the chapters. I noticed that many of them, no matter what you choose, take you to the same outcome. I don’t appreciate that. It just feels like a cheat to lead us to the most convenient situation to cause us to ponder the implications of living as a resistance while seeing all the horrors of adoctrination and suffering the consequences that sympathy with fascism causes.

It definitely feels more like a storytelling game than a strategy one because of the lacking gameplay system.

Impactful.

Since I bought it (like 5 years ago) I appreciate so much this game.
I come back time to time. It is true that it burns out easily, but I think that it doesn't loose its merits.
Its message is strong too. The game knows how to stand by it.
Please try it.

Simple gameplay and strong engagement.
Yeah. I swear I'm not a furry, but this is helping me to cope with the pandemic.

UPDATE
I should say by now that I don't really read through the texts and messages, but by what I actually read I would say that is kindy corny. The kind of thing someone could expect from this type of game. I can't complain.

Also, obtaining the achievements is taking me so much more time from what I expected.
