Never saw such a confusing ui in my entire life. Couldn't read anything because everything was so tiny and finally found a little arrow that made the game fullscreen. The entire time the annoying music was droning on and on, couldn't find a way to turn it off so uninstalled and won't be playing. Too annoyed. Redesign your ui, its really bad. There is a reason why 99% of all games have an escape menu.

Needs more jobs to have an actual economy. I am not sure why anyone would want to buy your goods when they are making the exact same thing and can't do anything with them anyway. Granted it is an early-access game but even so, 2 professions aren't really much to start with for a game that is supposed to be all about professions. Maybe too early for early access? Oh well, it was free.

Weird how it tells you that you are going to be president someday. I am not even interested in being president of a video game country so it sort of made me go "meh". It is sort of like real life where you are told anyone can be president but it's not really true.

Having said all that, it's an interesting idea and I am sure it will be a fun game once it has some content.

This game is fun if you enjoy playing a "multiplayer" game that is almost all bots. The ai isnt even that good. If there weren't bots there would only be 2 or 3 people playing.

Also the game is nothing at all like the trailer video. It's just 20 or so bots shooting each other and lining up so you can shoot 3 of them at a time.

Too bad I refuse to put my steam login info into their in-game browser so I can buy coins. Not looking to have my account hijacked, sorry.

Logged in and got attacked after playing 10 minutes. Confusing interface and no mouseover info. It's not apparent what you can even do in this game. Not interested in this. Uninstalling.

Another MMO suffering from the same problems many others have been destroyed by. Can they save it? Doubt it.

First off I would like to say I wish there were a rating between thumbs up and thumbs down. In some ways I can recommend this game and it's a tough decision but the way I play MMOs I cannot recommend. Also I will mention I am writing this with 106 hours in the game.

The short version of my review is this: Amazon just threw tons of money at a poorly designed game, and it shows. It is very high quality and from a technical point of view very well done, but the core design of the game is fundamentally bad.

BAD THINGS ABOUT THIS GAME:
1: Poorly designed attributes. Some attributes are there for no reason at all other than to serve a weapon group. Dex has literally no effect on anything except to use dex weapons. Dex in other games is usually used for defense and 'to-hit' calculation but they couldn't do that here because of the twitch combat. It's like this game has a stump where a targeted-based combat system used to exist. before it was amputated. They did add "dodge", but its nothing more than moving your avatar over a bit. Doesn't work. Other games have done this too and it's stupid.

2: secondary attributes for weapons are useless. They way points are awarded and assigned preclude the usefulness of secondary attributes for weapons. This can be shown by just playing with your point spread between the two attributes. The only stat on weapons affected by attributes is damage so why bother with a secondary stat at all because it only reduces your damage. This is part of the stumpiness I mentioned above.

3: pvp is a joke. You can be kitted out to the max and unless you put all your points into con, someone half your level can kill you in 3 hits. Safe zones can be abused. This is my primary reason for not recommending this game. If youre going to have PVP then have PVP. This game comes off as a game built originally for PVE with PVP thrown in as an afterthought but then recentered around PVP without redesign of the rest of the game. This has been a big problem in other games in the past and was dealt with by other games as well. Not sure why amazon would want to bring back old problems.

4: Too much crafting to get into a dungeon. A dungeon key takes a lot off stuff to make and you can only use it once. If the key were good forever it would be fine but dungeons are like community centers for MMOs. It's like paying $1000 to go work out at the YMCA.

5: weapon skill trees are weird.

6: crafting system is lackluster, bland and not very original. Seen all this before in other games, but its worse because to craft tier 3 you need tier 2 and tier 1. Its like russian dolls. Not a bad concept but puts me to sleep and I usually love to craft.

7: storage is constantly a problem and is used as an excuse for player housing. Player housing is useless otherwise except for trophies that give a small boost. pretty lame to force player housing using storage space as the sole reason.

8: its great there are spawned public events but this is done in a half-assed way. Rift did it first and better. Also some are bugged and you get no reward.

9: I havent participated in "owning" or governing settlements yet but that seems reserved for the zerg guilds. Nothing there for real players other than throwing them a bone every once in a while by buying a town buff. Other than that i could give a sh*t who controls a town or territory (another reason why PVP is stupid in this game)

10: lack of PVP-centered advancement. Other games have battlegrounds. If you are going to have PVP in your game then don't force pvpers to do lame PVE quests.

11: Pvp is a waste of time since you don't get anything for it. This goes hand-in-hand for not giving a sh** who controls a territory.

12: walking simulator 2021. 90% of your time is spent walking. Not unusual for MMOs but no mounts in this game and fast travel is very limited. You have to earn/spend air miles to fly anywhere. No speed buffs either but you can spam "charge" skills to move a bit faster. I guess bards don't fit the genre. MMOs need to realize a players time is his currency. If you're wasting it by making things "too expensive", they will move on to something else. Game design 101.

13: The cosmetic offerings are really bad. Vikings in the new world? Lol. Where's my headhunters and tribal warriors? Probably too woke to tackle history because they added caucasian tribals who were already LONG GONE by the time the Americas were discovered. It's ok to offend caucasians, I guess but this can also be seen as ignoring the history of native americans in favor of adding caucasian tribals who were long gone. Funny how wokeness eats itself.

THE GOOD:
1: Very pretty game. They threw a lot of money at it for a huge talented art department.

2: sound effects are amazing and well-planned. I was particularly impressed by the way they use sound as cues such as being able to tell if people are fighting nearby by broadcasting combat sounds to everybody around.

3: Lot of equipment variety. again, lot of money thrown at art department

4: Good network code. Never have been randomly disconnected (other than personal internet issues). No queues, zoning or even lag problems. Even when I have had a net problem it waits for reconnect rather than dropping me out of the game.

This really is a great game... It's obvious to me some of the best in the business worked on it. Like I said earlier from a technical standpoint it's an amazing piece of work but suffers from poor game design mostly centered around PVP. It can't decide if it wants to be a PVP game or not and both PVE and PVP suffers for it. There are no real long-term goals for players and I am not seeing any reason to make it to max level because it looks like there is literally 0 end-game content other than "Wars" you can sign up for (and no idea what those are about).

My major complaint is that they obviously had the budget and talent but were afraid to try anything new. Instead they used "tried and true" bad game mechanics which caused them to inherit the faults of other games, but they didn't even try to come up with solutions for these things. I am sad to see literally 0 innovation going on here. Instead they focus on chrome and bells and whistles.

It's like Jeff Bezos (or maybe one of his kids or family members) wanted to make a MMO but they had no experience designing one and he flipped the bill for it. This is the sort of game you would get if some dudebro had too much money and casually decided to make a MMO. Ridiculous really, when you think about it. And a huge waste. It's almost offensive. Feels like they are trolling us by teasing us with a great game but failing to deliver it on purpose.

In reality though, it is painfully obvious the suits in charge know diddly squat about mmos or game design and ruined this game out of fear of trying anything different or unique. What they fail to understand is different and unique is what makes a game legendary. Typical for MMOs and a problem as old as games. Remember SWG? This was what happened with it too. It was a great game with a few core problems with the combat system working for both PVP and PVE. Then they tried to "fix it" and drove away half the players and ultimately killed the game forever. The difference is SWG was not afraid to do something new and that makes it Legendary, unlike this game. When will they learn?

Controls are ridiculous. So many other dev teams have it figured out and seems like these guys are still stuck at square 1.

Unplayable.

Really cute little game. Nothing wrong with it, it's fun. very polished, looks and plays great. I give it a negative review because there isn't enough content to warrant a $30 price tag.

If this game had custom maps and multiplayer it MIGHT be worth $30 but it only has a few combat scenes with 2 hours of playtime if you are lucky. Nothing procedural or roguelike so replayability is nonexistant. They are basically charging you $30 to watch a movie.

Maybe I will change this review when more is added (if there ever is) but until then I cannot, in all good conscience recommend this game unless its on sale for $5.

Changing my review to a thumbs up.

This game should really be labeled as early access as there are many bugs, although not game-breaking or super annoying. Mostly just ui bugs that you can work around. It could use a little more documentation as well.

Other than that this is better than other TCGs, IMO.

You are able to level up your player (not sure what it is good for except you get small rewards when you level up and your level can be seen by other players). You can also level up your general, albeit very slowly. When your general levels up you are able to adjust his health and attack power and also choose is portrait and abilities. You can level up many of your cards as well, with dust. You can get gray dust as rewards for completing adventure matches and colored dust by destroying cards you might have. attained other than by destroying your cards. There are several colors of dust used to level up its corresponding car set, you can use any dust but you don't get full effect for using dust not made for your set. Lastly, there are rare evolution cards that you may use rainbow tokens to alter their powers. This allows you to spend a little extra energy in a match to change your units abilities.

The game has a shop where you can buy rainbow tokens and trade them in for gold or card packs. You can also buy portraits and new art for the back of your cards.

There is PVE as well as PVP. PVE can be played as training matches or adventures. Adventures or similar to other TCGs (normally called 'campaigns'). PVP consists or duels and coliseum matches. The only difference between the two as far as I can tell is coliseum matches give better rewards and you get more rewards for a win streak up to 5 wins in a row. There is supposed to be a battle pass but not sure if it works or if I already have one.

If ui bugs don't bother you then you might like this unique TCG. I like it better than MTG and POKEMON.
