Early Access Review
I really enjoyed this early access game.

The basic gameplay of exploring, fighting and solving puzzles is well-balanced and satisfying and their implementation of D&D rules performs well as a structure without feeling overly artificial. Conversations and party banter are nicely done and entertaining. You make a start on crafting in this section, and it feels like a mechanic which should add to the enjoyment of the game as it goes on, for those of us who like such things.

The sub-campaign that you do in this early access version is very linear; but that may well change in the full game.

There were a few minor bugs, mostly visual, and one more serious one where it wouldn't save for a while, but that sorted itself out after a reload. Otherwise it felt very polished and had some nice touches in the way it handled the tutorial (although they need more on spellcasting there).

All-in-all, I am looking forward to the full release of the game, and I'll probably replay this EA section at least once.

Part of the Grand Campaign series, this add-on follows from GC 1940 with the non-historical invasion of Britain. The style is very much Grand Campaign - lots of smaller scenarios than in the main game, with a wider variety of objectives - but felt much larger and slightly more challenging than the first two in the series. The disadvantage is that, because it is non-historical, there is no proper link back into the Grand Campaign, although on the Slytherine website there is a mod which overcomes this. The ending suggests that there might be a follow-on campaign in due course.

The bottom line, in my view, is that if you enjoy Panzer Corps then this DLC is highly recommended and excellent value.
