A 6/10 maybe...

The space 'travel' and planet exploration are essentially paper-thin filler, and that really ruined the experience for me.

The dialogue options are an illusion of choice, and you can definitely feel modern political inspirations - which is a shame.

I don't care for most of the characters I meet, there are way too many butch women chewing on nails. Weirdfield.

My Liege enjoyed his wars, but his years wore on.

Mere months prior to his death he married a young, fertile lady who produced a boy from his withered seed.

I was next in line, but no more...

Against my character and to my detriment, I plotted to murder the new born child.

After some time had passed, the 1 year old boy met his maker.

My clandestine efforts took their toll on my mental health.

Even so, on the boys death I immediately inherited my rightful kingdom, and many wars. Wars that were all but lost at the time.

No less, I charged in to battle with my own young son, a brave knight with ambition and sword skills. Much like his father, who commanded the army.

In bravely defending my new realm, I was injured in battle. Alas, my son died in the very same field that my men had dragged my bloodened body from.

Recovery wasn't certain and within a matter of days, I met the same fate. We were both dead.

My soul drifted quickly to my youngest son, Alan.

A few years old and retarded.

With expensive wars still to fight, a court who mocked my simple mind and a council who all sort me dead - my days were numbered.

Poor Alan.

It's a whopper.

Make that a double, large, with extra fries.

The Estates and Mercenary mechanics are great improvements.

Call me a fanboy, but I'm happy to pay for DLC that prolongs (in a good way) the life of my favourite game.

edit: one thing that's still ♥♥♥♥♥ is the UI scaling... feck!
