Absolutely fantastic. I finally have someone I enjoy more than playing as the Empire, and that is saying a lot!

I mean why would I not recommend this? Its brilliant fun. Don't get me wrong the campaign map is a little shallow but that is all just a vehicle to get you to the battles. And who doesn't enjoy using massed ranks of muskets and pikes to stop a charging dinosaur? Or undead horrors? Or the legions of the damned. Or dwarves? Or elves? Basically just play the main characters (ie. the empire options) and its a good vibe.
