This is an Elder Scrolls-skinned MMO, with a large amount of bland writing, uninteresting quests, and gameplay that doesn't feel anything like SkyRim or Oblivion. If you like MMOs, maybe you'll like this, but if you're looking for an Elder Scrolls game online, this isn't it.

This is not King's Quest, at least not as anyone that played the original games knows it. This is some other game, set in the world of King's Quest, but it isn't a King's Quest game. Some might argue that's a good thing, but I did not enjoy it (review based solely on chapter one).

The art, music, and graphics are all generally very well done. But the "soul" of King's Quest itself is missing. Someone decided to layer a whole bunch of unrelated and quite frankly (personally) unenjoyable mechanics over the top of what used to be an enjoyable adventure game on its own.

Even if I could overlook the multiple "quicktime event"-style gameplay events (ugh), the lack of any obvious ability to skip dialogue means that you often have to hear characters say the same things over and over again if you hit a button accidentally or when you have to retry events that you failed.

I won't say that this is a bad game, just not a great one, and not one I would recommend.

If you're looking for a wall of text -- I don't do reviews that way.

With that said, overall, I'd recommend this game. It's already a lot of fun at this early point. However, as someone that played the original MoO and MoO 2 (mostly the latter), it doesn't feel quite right just yet.

I think the game is off to a good start, and if the developers keep moving in a positive direction, this will be a B+ game easily when it's officially released.

The game is definitely not ready for an official release just yet though, so don't buy this unless you're a fan of the series and don't mind playing something that's not quite finished yet.

Firewatch is a highly-polished short adventure that has all the markings of a classic. Like a good book, firewatch is hard to put away and sometimes you want to read over the same parts again and again just to see if there's any little detail you missed the first time.

I have a feeling this is a game I'll play back through at least once or twice more just to see if I can see little hints about the story earlier and make connections from a different perspective.

I still haven't made up my mind about the story's conclusion just yet.

One of the best RPG experiences you can have on a PC. Barring some technical issues from some rot over the years (changes in Windows and other systems), I had little trouble playing this game.

The writing in this game in particular was quite enjoyable and I found it difficult to not want to explore every nook and cranny of the game.

With that said, there are some rough spots; certain parts of the game could have been significantly shorter and just as fun without a lot of filler combat.

A short, simple, and sweet game. It's so refreshing to have a game that you can play through each round of in such a short time. The random events, artwork, writing, almost everything brought such a smile to my face. The key to this game is understanding its replayability factor. It isn't meant to be blazed through and finished once; it's meant to be played again and again, especially with a group friends.

A very well done puzzle game that's surprisingly addictive. The graphics while basic, are perfect for this style of game, and the music is just right.

Just finished the game; I really loved the characters and the writing, and the plot twists weren't the usual obvious ones. The art, although pixel-style, is well done. The music, appropriate, and just right.

I have only a few real complaints. They have this weird hybrid system where it overwrites the last save at key plot points. Also, there is a *lot* of text to read in this game. I enjoyed the dialogue, but I can read a lot faster than the game displays it. I wish the dialogue system displayed more than a few lines of text at a time.

Regardless, I'd still strongly recommend this game. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and if you like adventure games, or older-retro games, I think you will too.

The height of classic adventure gaming; while I wish they would have thad the funds to fully remaster the game, this is the best version of Grim Fandango that can probably be made in this market.

For players that liked the original Thief's stealth-centred gameplay, this is a good game. The graphics are clearly intentionally "retro-futuristic", but they don't really matter. The aesthetic fits the music, theme, and gameplay.

Don't look for a deep, fulfilling story. There is a story, but it's really just there to faciliate the gampley as far as I can tell.

If you don't like stealth-centered gameplay, this isn't your game.

Finally, I will note that the developer was kind enough to include a "tourist" mode difficulty level for players that just want to explore the world and game itself without any pressure. Also, not a single crash or bug enocuntered during a complete playthrough of the game.
