this heist is not worth 8 bucks
it's basically party powder 2, so it's not terrible at least. if you liked that you will like this.
the map is pretty small and compact. ends much sooner too, because there doesn't seem to be a meth lab this time around. randomization is what's supposed to give it extra flavor, but not sure if that's worth the extra dollars.

the leads at the studio are oddly very uncooperative and unresponsive in regards to community feedback

at this rate PAYDAY 3 is on an express road to catastrophe rapidly closing onto its destination and unless something significant changes, it will remain this way
nearly all decisions made until this point have been detrimental to the overall quality of the game
problems identified in the pre-release public betas and on launch are either still not resolved or were approached with wrong solutions which do not target the core of any given issue

and this is ignoring the fact the game is plain unfinished

imagine taking a beloved classic and turning it into AI slop garbage while making absolutely zero improvements but multiple downgrades

networking is ♥♥♥♥ and barely works
30 fps cap in multiplayer
bloated file size because of AI upscaling memes
garbage console UI
no crossplay??
broken audio
missing cutscenes

this is disrespectful of pandemic studios' legacy, feels like spitting on their grave

campaign sucks and is probably the most uninspired piece of slop cod has ever managed to produce - absolutely nothing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ happens until the very end where they nonchalantly kill off a main character for some reason and then they spend a grand total of 3 seconds mourning their death. why are they seemingly incapable of making another MW2019?

multiplayer is a sweatfest of misery, god forbid you play solo and actually try to win your matches, because your random teammates certainly won't. the TTK increase makes the game feel like absolute ass and it seems most guns were balanced by throwing darts at a corkboard, coupled with the trash servers that bobby kotick is too cheap to spend more than $2 on certainly delivers a very fun hitmarker experience.
also love seeing all of the already fixed last year's MW2 bugs returning due to a completely terrible and rushed dev cycle

zombies, a DMZ+Outbreak hybrid this time around, is probably the only decent part of this package, once again proving out of all the 3 main studios only Treyarch is capable of producing something actually fun for this franchise but for god's sake it is not worth $70

the carry forward highlight of moving MW2's content into this one is completely ♥♥♥♥ on by Sledgehammer and their weird obsession with completely downgrading everything presentation related, i am not sure at this point which one of their games has the absolutely worst sound design, WW2, Vanguard, or MW3. i sure do love when all my guns sound like a 5 year old smacking a pizza box against a wall
they also somehow ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up volume mixing for MW2 operators. i hope you enjoy painful ear piercing clipping and crackling in your speakers whenever any of those characters speak

just stay with Cold War or MW2, wait for the next IW or Treyarch game. Sledgehammer should not be allowed to do anything more than mop up the floors at the other studios' offices and even then i'd be reluctant to actually hand them a mop because of how much i do not trust them to do anything competently

special shout out to Beenox for not being capable of fixing the same crash issues that have been plaguing the PC ports since 2019

the rotten hand of tencent touches yet another game, forcing an in-game store fueled by separate premium currency in TWO YEARS POST LAUNCH once more with the standard predatory tactics such as selling terribly packaged bundles of coins that ensure you will always have something leftover JUST not enough to afford that new epic bundle. at least there isn't a FOMO timer attached i guess????????

it's even more insulting that they give you a "free" starter bundle of coins (time limited offer btw) with 500 coins, which can afford ♥♥♥♥ all except for like the 2 ugliest outfits in the game, everything else is at least 550

honestly quite incredible

really funny how a lot of tencent "partnered" games have identical monetization but people still think it's just the devs for each of those games being greedy :)

also extra funny how any future skin bundles are not going to be sold directly on a platform's store anymore, just through the in-game store which only takes funny premium currency
