This game can be a little overwhelming at first because of the massive amount of various items and options (card game, alchemy, magic, crafting, fighting, movement during fighting, key mapping, etc). After the first 8 - 10 hours of play you get pretty familiar with the entire system and the way the game works. The mechanics and the story are top-notch. Unlike many D&D-type games, this one has a lot of cut-scenes that advance the story. I thought these cut-scenes kind of sucked at first, but after a few hours of play I got used to them and started to like the depth of the story that the cut-scenes created. They don't take away from anything, and add quite a bit of realism. I absolutely love the card game!

Thus far, the only complaint I have with the game is there doesn't seem to be an ability to scroll the view out. Sometimes I feel like I am getting sick because the view is too close for my comfort. I don't want it to look like I am a mile away from my character, but in closed spaces like caves or in houses, or if you are trying to do something in detail, its just too damned close. Then, when you use your Witcher sense, it gets even closer. I did find that you could mess around with the options and get rid of the annoying blur-effect of the Witcher sense. I just wish you had the ability to zoom out another few feet.

Other than the view, this game looks like it will provide me with hundreds upon hundreds of hours of play. I just finished Dragon Age Inquisition and wanted something similar, and something recently released -- Witcher 3 was the cure to my itch. I highly suggest this game for anyone looking for a roleplaying-type D&D game. It is different from anything I've ever seen before, and that's a good thing!

(It was only after finishing Witcher 3 and all of the expansion packs that I really came to realize how awesome this game truely is. There's simply nothing out there like it; for that matter, nothing out there even close to it. Simply put, this is the best of the best open world RPG-type games in existence. Buy it.)
