Responsive, low skill floor but a high skill ceiling with all the intricacies in the combat. Game looks and runs great. Character creation is pretty good, I would love to be able to mix and match equipment better, as well as an easier way to texture items, as well as resizing them at least a little bit, but other than that its spot on.

TL;DR - A game with very talkative and open devs, adding numerous tools to edit and customize the game, with most of the complaints being about a toic community, but the gameplay is solid and if you like survival games where you build your stake, and then defend what is rightfully yours against marauders then this game would be yours.

- I'm open to critique of what I say, if you think what I said is down right wrong, and I'll give my take on any opinions about the game that I didnt say or miscommunicated. -

A constantly evolving and updating game, seems like not that much at the surface but you can get really into basebuilding, team cohersion, and how you fight other people. Played solo for most of the game, then moved into duo/trio, then managed to get into a medium sized 4-5 team, so i've played the different types of gameplay. Solo is hard, but doable if you can aim, since if you can aim well you can overpower alot of people since the gun play in this game is DIFFICULT and is very satisfying once you manage to learn how to control the guns effectivly. Toxicity is a common reason people negativly review the game, I dont honestly see why you would even bother to rate a game on the community, thats way out of the control of devs for the most part. Every game seems to have these types of players and you shouldnt let them get to you, otherwise they've won.

Many different options for gameplay on the servers too, if you want a fast paced game play on weekly, any x10-x1000 servers, or battlefield, combat tag, etc. Theres weekly wipes, and monthly wipes, and the recently added ability of custom maps which is great! Honestly one of my favorite games, been playing since Legacy, and have followed them in all the updates they've done, loved the way they've gone in some of the updates, and others obviously not so much, as the cycle goes in evolving games. The devs are very outspoken about there plans, and what they will add and more game devs need to do this, a game that didnt go up to $60 with the release as well which was a nice surprise (ARK).

Heres a tip as well, dont be a coward, the only way to get better is to take risk, the only way to get loot is to take risks, the only way to survive, IS TO TAKE RISKS. GET OUT THERE AND SHOW THEM THEY CANT MESS WITH YOU. Learn how to build bases, learn how to play around door campers with other exits/traps. Play on Day 1 wipes so that people arent ahead when just starting out, and learn how people get that far, or what you can do to do just as well, there are always servers that are fresh or just starting out. There are ways to fight these people, i've delt with them and anyone can with the right skills. I've had people with bows beat me when I should have the advantage, take risks, have fun, if someone is toxic simply ignore them and move on, or get revenge on there base. Because most likely another base is looking for a target with a big payout.

Its like reliving DayZ mod. Except this one gets updated more frequently and has a future planned out.

I want to like this game, since I loved contagion when it first game out and supported it. Was very sad when that game died, however, I cant recommend this game atm due to how rushed it feels. Sure its in early access, but some basic QOL improvements for VR are missing, not to mention the way they deal with objects being to far away on the ground is....interesting? I guess? Its still definitly a fun game, but the way everything feels, the way everything interacts just feels very clunky. Almost like the developers have little time in alot of VR games to see what mechanics are needed, and/or necessary.

Great atmosphere, what a horror game should be.

Thought this was a tactical shooter but its just another game pretedning to be tactical when all you do is just use abilities to hide how bad you truly are. Movement feels like ♥♥♥♥, aiming feels like ♥♥♥♥ and is slow, you die faster than a kid living in an anti-vaxxers house. Not in anyway a competitive game, just another garbage casual game that pretends to be """"competitive""""

TL;DR - Dont look up anything about the game and learn everything yourself, it excels at the mystery and what you may or may not find and getting lost, and then finding your way.

Great game, really makes you scared when you first start to plunge into the depths. I highly recommend STAYING AWAY FROM WIKI's/GUIDES & MAPS online since it takes away the wonder and the greatness of exploring. The best parts of this game is getting lost in the caves, finding something interesting, and exiting and exploring where you just came out.

Multiplayer is fun too, if not a bit strange and some of the interactions with the story and the multiplayer make it a bit weird but its still fun to play with friends. The base building is great too, if not tedious due to how many logs you need and how hard it is to create the structures with the trees, it has a suprising amount of customization and making effigies out of your enemies is funny as hell.

Are you bad as the survivor? Do you want a second chance, or perhaps a crutch!!!! GET THIS DLC FOR DS AND WIN EVERY GAME.


Also the killer is cool I guess, his perks are garbage though.

Guns feel good, hard to shoot them at first. Sounds actually work, but they need to work on how you get hunters, level them up, and perma lose them. Since people are to cowardly in the game and dont like to take risks. Overall a great game and alot of work and thought has been put into the map and how everything works around each other, some perks are worthless, and others are to good to ignore, but thats pretty much every game with a PvP oriented style. Honestly dont understand how and why this game is so niche and not played as much as it is, but I do wish the game a long life and hope that it becomes popular.

Sadly a dead game.
