Let me preface this by saying I wanted to love this game. I mean Skyrim but in space? What wouldn't be to love?

And I did love it, but sadly only for my first few hours of playing. Once the excitement of having a new BGS game wore off I quickly learnt that the gameplay loop was incredibly repetitive and boring. You don't feel like a mighty space warrior, but rather a space errand boy just relaying messages between characters on different planets. Now this wouldn't be so bad if the game actual made traveling through space worth it; but it doesn't. There's nothing there, no reason to ever fly around in your spaceship. So you just load up the trusty fast travel and do the same thing over and over. And that's assuming the questline you're doing doesn't just bug out. I've had multiple sidequests become unfinishable due to bugs and glitches that still aren't patched. The main quest doesn't really have any redeeming factors either, and traveling to the different Temples just becomes a tedious task that doesn't feel worth finishing.

The other thing that really bothered me was the lack of weapon variations across such a 'massive' universe. The amount of weapons to pick from feels like a downgrade from Skyrim-- a game that came out many years ago from the same studios. There's no really interesting 'hidden' weapons or armour to obtain meaning that side-quests just kinda become meaningless.

As the game stands at the time of writing this I can't recommend it to people. It had so much potential but feels incredibly held back by an old engine and terrible character interactions/writing. In a universe with potential for anything to be added, the worldbuilding is insanely bad. I played for about 25 hours and haven't felt the urge to ever touch it again, I couldn't even get myself to finish the main questline since it just felt like a chore.

CS:GO Review
Doesn't get much better than CS:GO in terms of replayability. Not many games I can come back to over and over again, but this has everything you could ask for.

Overall the concept of this game is great; you and three other people are to repair broken generators across the map while avoiding a killer. But that's where my appreciation for this game stops. I've pumped out a lot of gameplay in the past few weeks trying to force myself to like the game, but there's simply too many issues with it right now for it to be playable. At first it seemed as if the devs were taking into account the communities complaints and fixing things based off of their suggestions, but the past few weeks this has seemed to stop.

The biggest issues of the game in my opinion;
- While their update claims to have 'fixed' the matchmaking issues, finding a game can still be excessively long and will often throw you into a game where you're playing people across the world.

- Game is currently incredibly unbalanced IMO, makes it more frustrating than fun to play. Some perks need to be evened out a lot more, and there absolutely needs to be a consequence for killers camping people who are hooked.

- Graphics customization is very limited, as well as sound balancing. The main menu music is incredibly annoying and can't be individually turned down.

- Matchmaking has a HUGE skill-gap. I'm either in a game with brand new players or people with 400 hours in game, there isn't really an inbetween.

TL;DR: at the moment I wouldn't spend the $20 on this game, it's not quite a finished product yet. I think if some of these issues (along with others) are addressed, it will be a really fun game. But for now I wouldn't bother.
