Grew up as a huge Warhammer fantasy nerd alongside my friends. I also played Total War games throughout my teens, starting at Medieval. Like most fans of both franchises, I connected the dots years ago, and daydreamed of what a Total Warhammer game would be like.
Seems that most reviews erring on the negative side have more love for the Total War component, over the Warhammer component, and thus are disappointed that it may be a little watered down, or the AI still isn\'t improved to a standard they expect.
I personally have to say that I think this is the best Warhammer Fantasy videogame there is, and will ever be. To me it is a Warhammer Fantasy game first, and a Total War game second, meaning that it portrays the Old World perfectly. I have no gripes with AI or lack of complexity during sieges, or whatever nitpicking I\'ve read in other reviews.
You guys have seen the giant bite a guys head off right? You\'ve seen Archaon marching down from the frozen wastes? You\'ve pitted Greenskins against Dwarves? Successfully cast a comet of Cassandora?

This game epitomises fantasy Warhammer so well, I doubt I\'ll ever need to get back into the tabletop game. (Especially now that it\'s AoS).

TL;DR WE FINALLY HAVE A WARHAMMER FANTASY GAME GUYS.
