After playing through the story with my HOTAS, I can safely recommend this game. The story has some incredibly satisfying moments. The flying mechanics are very well done, fun to use but hard to master. If you love Starfighters, get this game.

If you are a new player then I HIGHLY recommend this game. I've played this game since 2014 and have over 1000 hours just on my main.

In the past few years leveling has become extremely easy so you can get through the story with doing almost solely that. All eight FREE base game class stories are brilliant (some more than others). Opinions on the expansion stories are fairly mixed depending on who you ask, but they are fun to play at least once. There's also a plethora of sidequests and other questlines to keep you occupied for hours. However, it must be noted that while the older story content is mostly amazing the current content drops are few and far between but hopefully this changes post-Corona.

However, there do exist plenty of downsides. The difficulty of the game has drastically declined with the "quality of life" changes made with each expansion. If you are new to the game, you won't find it all that challenging until the endgame if you desire to get into raiding.

It also must be noted that the game is not brilliantly optimised so don't expect it to look as good as other games can do. But what can you expect from a game almost 9 years old?

To conclude, if you are interested in just good star wars stories: play this game.

I don't know if this can even be classed as Early Access... Most Early Access games don't usually have people going around in an A pose.

The game is an eyesore, the movement janky, and the gunplay generic and uninspired. This game feels less like it was developed over the course of 4 years and more like it was whipped up in 4 weeks. Would not recommend.
