The gameplay feels opaque and non-intuitive, no sense of risk fighting if you stall turns in campaign and wait for resources to build up
Edit: all in all I got used to UI, and 2nd part of 1st campaign actually starts to overwhelm you if you stall. Now it's a fun challenge for me to beat everything in highest difficulty, you get 4 big campaigns and the game seems to be gettin more dlcs (I assume additional factions and campaigns. There's community campaigns also so that's huge). I'm on 2/4 campaign with froggos, life's good rn

I'm comparing to first game, Shinrai.
14 hours in literally no action. Spookiness. So called sovl. One may say, a spark.
The dialogues are superbly dragged out. I feel at ease, the opposite of what I came for. The ost is disgusting, half of the time I get shrieked on by dinos. The other piano stuff is mildly bad. 15 y/o girl protag had more testosterone than 20 smth mc from this game here.

There's 0 times I've laughed, felt scared, intrigued, curious. I come in and investigate and feel like I'm doing a job after coming from actual job. Everything feels laid out and the only challenge is to press enter x more times. Actual chore, I'm disappointed.

stuck in story mode for half an hour on start and all I got was fighting zombies with a crowbar at the very end and getting stuck on a puzzle.. feels like horror garry's mode mod

Movement feels super bad, and the voice acting doesn't make up for the price
