Junk. I've played this game for less than 20 minutes. Not fair you might say? It is fair. I can't get this game to run. I finally got it so it wouldn't hang at start up. Got through a few minutes of game play and my Alienware system froze...again...like a half dozen times before. I don't care if there's some kind of kludge out there deep in the bowels of the internet or buried somewhere in a Steam forum to fix this. This is crappy game design and testing. I've been in the computer coding industry for decades. If we coded solutions like this people would die. There is no excuse for putting out crapware like this. Especially with a big name like WB. Spend your hard earned (or Mom and Dad's) cash on something that actually works out of the box. Avoid this garbage.

I first played this game when it was released in 2000. I'm playing it again 15 years later with the free mod Deus Ex - Revision (available for DL here on Steam) which greatly enhances the game without changing the story. I love this game as much now as I did 15 years ago. Here I am playing it a second time and I'm discovering areas that I hadn't before. In my first pass I got someone killed due to my negligence and I was very bummed out about it. It got worse when my 8 year old son told me what I could have done to keep him from getting killed. I avoided that mistake this time and the gameplay changed because of it. Deus Ex is about choices and I can see where one could play this game 3, 4 or more times and have a different experience each time. The Deus Ex world is also incredibly immersive. The developers created a world with an atmosphere of foreboding that few others are able to achieve. It has been named the best PC game of all time by several major publications and I can see why. If you haven't played this game, put it to the top of your list. You won't regret it.

I'm an old guy (58) who likes to play games since the DOS days. I'm on my second run through FANV along with all of the DLC. First time through I used ranged weapons to do my dirty deeds. Now that I'm a little braver on my second time through I discovered the GRA Chainsaw along with all of the mods. What a great way to introduce yourself to a Powder Ganger or a Super Mutie! Bethesda does a spectacular job on games. Kudos to you guys. I'm ready for FA4!!!
