Great survivor with a ton of content and a pretty banging soundtrack. There's a lot to unlock and many interesting weapons to discover by combining the 4 base weapon types into 69 (nice) possible permutations. Many different characters as well, with unique playstyles. Strikes a good balance between keeping the runs fresh with randomness and letting you build the build you want to.

Easy recommend.

Face shooty perfected.

In its current state, I can't recommend this game. Loot is so common right now that you can get the best gear in the game in 10-20 minutes, effectively making it PUBG except you can't die for good and the gunplay sucks worse somehow. That also makes the crafting in this game utterly redundant since crafted gear just can't compete with military gear, but the military gear is actually easier to get.

It honestly just seems like a basic survival game bloated to hell with gimmicky afterthought mechanics that sound more like marketing than game mechanics. At the end of the day, most of this game's features mean absolutely nothing. Stats and skills have no noticeable effect, diet neither. Nor does getting wet or having to take a dump every 30 minutes. It's just fluff, behind that there's hardly anything to this game. Survival is pathetically easy when a single animal drops enough food to LITERALLY last you MONTHS. Seems not even the developers know what this game is supposed to be, so they bloat it with weird stuff like the events mode in an attempt to appeal to everyone. Also the fame system, that LETS YOU SPAWN WHERE YOU DIED OR ON YOUR MATES. IN A SURVIVAL GAME.

Did you die? No worries. Just spawn back in next to your corpse and you'll forget all about it.

It's like they were making a forgiving 4-player co-op sandbox game but suddenly just decided to instead make it play out on a 64 pop server. Then they put a bucket in the dev studio where people could submit random ideas, and put all of them in game. All the features of this game sound like a good idea on paper but actually aren't, really.

It's got potential, though. I hope one day it lives up to it. As it is right now, it's more like an empty shell of a survival game full of meaningless marketing buzzwords, like

Awesome co-op experience.

It's a Bethesda-style game that isn't made by Bethesda.

It's amazing.

Found a loaded gun.

Got threatened by a tenant.

Chose the only option that didn't involve me bribing my way out of an ass-kicking, [Ride it out].

Watched helplessly as I got stabbed in a cutscene, handgun resting comfortably in my pocket and lost over an hour of progress.

Feeling better now, sport? Happiness is a choice! Don't forget your joy again or I'll snap your bloody legs in two.
