really good game though

Game is great, especially with friends but the pace of updates are unbearingly slow. Would recommend when it's actually finished.

Update 3 years later: I think the game is half decent now. Still not finished but around %80 of the game is done and most of the stuff can be tailored to your liking now. If you're stupid(like me) and like grinding and losing hours of progress because of 1 death be sure to try valheim(totally not stockholm syndrome)

This game is so well made,even if you rage so hard it still makes you keep playing it.I fought NKG for 3 hours straight,wasted 2 hours at the White Palace and I don't regret it.The beautiful art style[imgur.com]/soundtrack helps with that.It makes you sit on a bench or stand still just to listen to the music out of all things.Seeing all the ♥♥♥♥ this game has to offer is interesting,keeps you hooked and you need to improve your skills(both your in game stuff and your own fighting skills) or you'll get your ass clapped hard fighting one of the 47(!) bosses

The only problem is you don't know what to do and if you can't find cornifer(the dude who sells maps)you might wander around aimlessly for a while.I think devs intended to make you get lost but I don't find that fun.

All things considered it's one of the best I've played in a while,and for that price tag it's a must get.

playing since november 2018 and this game's killers and mechanics get needlessly more complex with each new chapter. compare billy or wraith to vecna or dracula, billy runs fast, wraith goes invisible and that's about it while newer killers do 30 different things and get like %3 speed boost while slowing down the survivor by %2 or something and guess what, older killers by far feel more fun to face and play as and some require actual skill/brain activity to be successful. as a plus newer slowdown mechanics are either so easy that a 3 year old can do it(sadako) or it becomes so important that it wrecks solo lobbies because no comms while swfs can handle it far easier(pinhead/singularity). not even going to mention stuff like knight aka do 1 action and force survivor to leave loop style killers, no input from both sides besides holding W.

also this game's monetization is like f2p games but it's not f2p. a very big portion of skins cost $10 and you NEED to buy some DLCs if you want to play metaslave like everyone else or even function as killer since most meta perks are locked behind DLC for killers. some people will say "but uhh shrine of secrets exist uwu" yeah if you want to wait for 2 years for the perk you want sure, they also won't put perks of newer characters there for about half a year to further incentivize you to buy the new and hip DLC.

I don't recommend this game.Don't play it.
