I've been a huge fan of Amnesia and Penumbra for over 15 years. This is by far the quickest they put you into the fray and the most open ended for progress. Calling the obstacles 'puzzles' is an understatement; there are doors and paths that can be accessed with impressive (but frightfully limited) tools, for the sake of furthering your survival. This is the perfected formula for a horror game.

Immersive, compelling setting; does not overload with character or dialogue, tons of fun weapons, unique class and leveling system (you get to level up a often), and doesn't hold your hand while remaining very accessible!

I've played a lot of survival horror games and I've watched a lot of Alien. This game is a fantastic piece of media.

I feel like this game's been with me all my life, even though it hasn't. It's got a really close atmosphere and has a very high satisfaction value. I recommend this game for anyone, at least to try out. It's so good!

If you value good stories and incredible atmospheres, play this game. It's gripping, it's drawing, it's absolutely fantastic.
