If you're play games competitively even if nobody's keeping score, then you'll absolutely love Sea of Thieves. It's as close to an ode to freedom as you can get in a multiplayer video game. Make your own agenda, play your own way, take what you can and give nothing back!

Just remember: this isn't a single player game, there is no PvE mode, there are no safe zones, your loot isn't yours until you sell it, just because you're allied with another crew doesn't make them your friend, and never trust another pirate.

With Receiver 2 coming out in LESS THAN A WEEK, you should check out the OG Game Jam entry. It's brilliant.

Six Degrees of Awesome:

1) Gameplay is rock solid, old-school 90s 6DOF goodness, dripping with nuance.
2) Aesthetics dripping from every vertex, awash in an aura of industrial foreboding.
3) Rockin' music which serves to amplify the atmosphere presented and the tempo that Overload demands
4) A difficulty curve that eases you into the 6-Degrees of Freedom, but then thoroughly challenges you once you've mastered the basics.
5) A narrative with a sympathetic villain and an equivalently morally ambiguous organization giving you mandates creates a sense of crossed loyalties; is it worth this sacrifice to build a new world? No, it's much more than that, and you'll keep second guessing your own actions as well as those of others until it's explained at the crescendo.
6) Altogether, the single player experience is one that any fan of 90s shooters would be loathe to miss. Also, there's multiplayer!

No Ultra Widescreen Support? What is this, 1999?

The game's good, but don't expect 21:9 to work properly at *any* resolution.

This is a AAA game made recently, and there's no UWS support due to LAZINESS.

Edit: But maybe I was too quick to judge. No wait, it's still a buggy pile of errors with clunky controls and poor optimization.
