If you're some kind of masochist that would find enjoyment in having your limbs blown off with a high explosive missile, your brain turned into mush, getting dissolved in acid, or getting stoned to death by a bunch of apes, then you might want to play this.

Simply awe-inspiring, like nothing I've ever experienced before. HL: Alyx has torn down all my preconceived notions about what a triple-A VR experience could be and shown me the future. One day, VR will be just as prominent as PC or console gaming, maybe even more prominent, and we will look back at Alyx as the game that already knew that day was coming. Don't listen to me ramble, play it if you can, but it is understandable if you cannot because of the entry price for VR. Even though a whole level of gameplay dimensionality is lost, you can still find enjoyment in any of the mods out there that convert it to a KBM game, although I do not recommend this if you can help it. I assure you that if you have an open mind towards VR, and if you have been itching for anything Half-Life related for over a decade now, this will scratch that itch.

You've done an absolutely fantastic job, Hopoo. This game is flat out amazing. Seamless co-op, fast-paced action, huge maps to traverse, awesome items old and new, the list goes on. The older I get the fewer games catch my attention, but Risk of Rain 2 defied all of my expectations. I love it.

My original review:

A comfy VN with a compelling story, cozy cyberpunk aesthetics, and simple gameplay elements that help drive the story in different directions.

An updated review:

After about a year or so ago I finished my first playthrough, and about 9 hours ago I finished my NG+. What can I say? VA-11 Hall-A is probably one of my all time favorite games. In that span of time without touching the game itself, it still had a grip on me. It is like no other game that has come before it. In its characters, dialogue, presentation, atmosphere, music, gameplay, humor, etc, it presented me with the most unique video game experience I have ever had.

It really engrossed me in the world, the atmosphere, of Glitch City; the protag Jill and her friends truly seem like real people, in there speech, their mannerisms, and their actions. The internal and external conflicts each character battles on a daily basis seem so real, and I really resonate with their struggles, no matter how outlandish they may seem to someone living in this current day. How each story overlaps with each other in one way or another, again, it's so human. I see it every day of my life in my interactions with my friends, co-workers, and classmates. Each new day reveals some deeper connection between the people in my life that I never knew existed, and that is exactly what we see in VA-11 Hall-A. Real, believable characters who have real, believable relationships with one another, albeit sometimes a bit exaggerated, but nonetheless.

On the surface the gameplay seems simple enough. Follow the simple instructions in the provided BTC drink guide to give your customers what they want, give it to them, and the game rolls on... but it is so much more than that. On my first playthrough, I didn't really pay attention to the finer details, I just mixed the drinks and went along with the story, not aware of how my actions truly affected the story. On my NG+ I did some reading, payed more attention to my clients' needs, and when I remembered what their favorite drink was all on my own, not only were they happy, but I was happy too. I feel like I had some kind of "epiphany," just from something simple as remembering a drink. Making the drinks is only half of the gameplay, the other half is understanding who these characters are.

At the end of the day, yeah VA-11 Hall-A is a video game, a complete work of fiction, but this game has managed to grab onto me and hold on tight. The narrative, the characters, the atmosphere, all of it. I just love it. I don't really know what else to say, I went off on a bit of a tangent. I have so many feelings about this game that are hard to put into words, but this is not a game where you should read long reviews about other peoples' experiences playing the game, you should just play the game.

DOOM has a stellar campaign that keeps on rolling and never skips a beat. Multiplayer is okay, if you are looking for a classic DOOM/Quake feel then you may not find it here, still very interesting on its own. I would love to recommend this game right now, but after 14 hours of play I was another victim of the nasty dev bug. Corrupted my save and left me with a bad taste in my mouth after all the progress I had made was wiped clean. Once id Software can fix this, go right ahead and pick up this amazing game, but for now hold onto your money. It's definitely worth the wait.

The Binding of Isaac is one of the best indie games I have played in quite a long time, and I plan on happily purchasing Rebirth when it is released.

This game has literally been heaven and hell for me. :3 (bit of spoilage in this review)

Every run you start, you never know how it's gonna go down. Are you gonna make it past the first room? Find a great item drop? Die by spiders (ALL THE TIME)? Make it to Sheol or the Cathedral? It's all in how you play the game, and the more you play the more you learn and the less you suck, as it is with all games. I must admit that this game can be built off of sheer luck at times, and other times it puts you down before you get past the first floor. It's a roll of the dice, you can end up with a Dead Cat or Tech. II , but that's what makes it so fun and increases the replay factor, because you want to have the mother of all runs. And who doesn't? The thrill of reaching the Cathedral and fighting Isaac , then dying and realizing its all over can be a let down, but it only makes you want to go back and do it again, but win.

Overall (from my jumbled and discombobulated piece of poop review), I simply love this game. It's got the golden touch that only comes along once in a million other games, and its almost impossible to quit. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys indie games, who doesn't already have it. It's a must play, and don't let some of the negative reviews pull you away from a masterpiece.

NEW REVIEW:
Game is not fun for me anymore. I am done. Goodbye.

OLD REVIEW:

Gonna try and keep it short and sweet.

Dota 2 is one of the most impressive, difficult, and overall fun games I have ever played.
It turned this CoD console gamer into a Dota 2 and PC junkie, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
Inspired me to start building the ulitmate PC, currently underway.
Have gone to one Dota 2 pro-tournament so far (MLG Columbus).
I have to say I'm approaching 500 hours at lvl 30 and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
Thank you Valve and Icefrog for bringing this wonderful game to me and millions of others.
You have a player for life.
