This game has a gameplay loop that is made to extract as much dopamine as it can from you while you role-play as humans from the avatar movies, trying to turn this beautiful alien planet into a mega factory.

Slow paced management game with the goal of terminating mars. Not the most in depth colony builder, but the story was engaging even if i expected more with its conclusion.

Maybe flawed in some ways but still enjoyable. If only Adams story had a conclusion with the third game...

I really enjoyed the first 100h of the game, but after going trough the NG+ mechanic and experiencing the major story content for the game I can't compare this to other Bethesda titles. Starfield has big flaws in its game design that can't be fixed easily with mods and defiantly not by its first and maybe only DLC.
Ship building and combat is one of the highlights but that eventually gets old as you just make the best ship possible and there is no reason to ever change it. Base building should have been one of the features that would offer a lot of playtime, but compared to Fallout 4 its just boring.
Talking about boring.. the planets. Yes, not every planet in the universe should be interesting or special. And if they where just there to go mine resources or set up some distant outpost, that's fine. But the fact that every planet is generated in the same fashion with the same random outposts that you have visited for the fifth time, it becomes boring fast. There are named outposts and "cities" that have quests and are unique, but in their scale they seem quite small which breaks the immersion. Limiting where you can go can create the illusion of the bigger universe, make your chooses have more meaning as it makes it easier to implement into the game world. Here there is no difference and game feels empty even when it shouldn't.
I would recommend it when its on sale, but do not expect the same amount of content or quality compared to other Bethesda tittles.
