Star Wars DOOM but so much more

It terms of gameplay (and technically canon,) this is the "true" DOOM 3, although DOOM 3 itself is still a very good game.

If you like Ultimate DOOM and DOOM II, this is a sequel to those. Play it.

This game's pitch is simple; imagine DOOM (2016) but trade its atmosphere for a more readable, almost comic-book artstyle and much better gameplay. It's a precise, angry, brutal demon hatred simulator.

I still prefer the visuals of the last game, but Eternal strikes such a beautiful balance with its visceral, hyper-violent combat chess loop that I find myself coming back to it more.

This Master Chief fella sure is tall

I mean come on, it's Half-Life but without most of Half-Life's issues.

The phrase "Mega Man X Roguelike" kinda undersells the fun of this game, but it's fitting

Very fun dungeon crawler with solid mod support! If you like the old Zelda games, this is just Zelda 1's dungeons done way better, in first person, with infinite replay value.

I haven't had a game crash from normal gameplay in a while.

Trust me though, this game crashing from normal gameplay isn't a sign of bad game design or poor optimization- the gameplay eventually just lets you stack such crazy ♥♥♥♥ that the engine can't handle it.

This game is just more. More adventurous, more scary, more surprising, more dense. Compared to its peers in the class of survival sandbox games, it shines above the rest.

Not since Minecraft's beta days in 2011 have I sat down in a game after waking up from my bed and watched the sunrise, totally lost in the world I've survived in.
