My main gripes are the balancing of the weapons and the general "stealthiness" of the enemies. I feel like I shouldn't have the need for visual indicators of incoming attacks if there was sufficient sound coming from them. We are not exactly fighting against ninjas here.

I also think many spells feel a little flimsy, like they have no power at all. Not talking about effectiveness, mostly about visual and audio feedback.

Despite that the gunplay and the general feel of the weapons are enough for me to recommend this game.

Amazing game to make your friends hate you

I appreciate "atmosphere" a lot in rpgs, and Colony Ship delivers in spades. The combination of music, art style and story/npcs really sucks you in the game.

The itemization has great variety both in gameplay and in visual design. I especially love the inventory icons for the weapons. Consumables are very powerful (as is tradition with ITS games) and using them is practically mandatory if you want to go the combat route.

Combat is challenging throughout (though I wasn't exactly using a heavy combat build). You can use some things to make combat easier but they are gated by limited supply of ammo, so careful consideration of the situation is required. I guess that in a second playthrough things would be easier due to experience and knowledge of what encounters to prepare for.

If I really needed to say something negative, it would be the party/enemy placement in combat situations. In most cases it's unfavorable for the player even if it wouldn't make much sense.

Good enough

Once you get used to the art style, it's a nice game albeit easier than the old ones.

I love games with a psychological theme. Had no idea what i was getting into, since i bought it just for the fact that it was made by a developer i respect. The game scratched that itch for me (at least in the way I interpreted it), and I enjoyed every moment of it. The art, the music, the general atmosphere, the theme and the story were all amazing.

If I had to say something negative about it, it would be that I found the puzzles to be a little easy. I prefer a little more challenge in my adventure games, but I realize a higher difficulty might have detracted from the flow of the game.

In conclusion, I will continue to buy everything wormwood develops day 1. Thanks for the experience.
