I waited for so long for a Valve's new Half-Life game. I was 13 at the time, and since the Orange Box release back in 2007, after getting through Episode 2, it left a bad taste in my mouth to just stop right there. Years passed by, and Valve released this.

Unfortunately, at that time, VRs were overpriced and I didn't want to play this with a NoVR mod. Well, I tried though, and now with a VR that I borrowed from my uncle, I don't regret a single bit.

I won't go deep in this review. But to sum it up: I could simply put a Quest 3 VR and stare at the Citadel's on-going construction for 5 minutes straight, and play around with props like a kid would do. In awe.

I wanna thank my uncle for presenting me Half-Life 1 back in 2002. And thank you Valve for not giving up on an endearing series that got me into gaming.

Well, unless a game has overwhelmingly negative sentiment in reviews, you shouldn't read and trust them by heart.

What can I say: it's a flight sim, just like the MSFS 2020 with a career mode and slight changes in flight dynamics. Graphics wise, I didn't notice much changes though folks may say otherwise. It's still a good game apart from a few bugs that are NOT game breaking in general. What I constitute as game breaking bug is one that prevents me from playing it, and none of that happened to me just yet.

Some of the career missions are buggy as hell, like some smaller airports may have crappy parking at the end of the mission, which expects us to taxi and park the aircraft at the top of a building. Nonetheless, I can simply quit the mission and go for a new one.

Performance wise, I could go either Medium or High preset with an RTX 4070 Mobile, i9 13th, and 32GB of RAM. I recommend to not use DLSS as some glass cockpit artifacts may have ghosting digits on display when interacting with dials.

None of those are game breaking bugs, and I feel bad for other folks that are having a bad time with it despite devs working through updates. Still, I feel satisfied with the game.
