This game is a lot of fun. I spent almost 40 hours completing the campaign and inspector modes (unlocked everything). Good value for money. The game is primarily about inspection so don't expect a premier shooter experience. The graphics are not flashy but there is enough detail that I didn't really care. I had the odd crash but it did not affect my experience.

Positives:
- Lots of hiding spaces for contraband - check everywhere!
- Car chases where you have to P.I.T. cars off the road to stop them.
- Shootouts (no scopes which can be a little painful)
- Lots to upgrade in Inspector mode.
- There is a large variety of checks to conduct with enough variables on the daily intel board to keep you on your toes.

Rather than talk about any negatives, I'll mention some suggestions that I think will improve the experience:
- During car chases have an option for AI to deploy a stinger/roadblock up ahead for a cost.
- Add a basic 2x scope to the long rifle and red dot to the automatic rifle.
- Reduce handling on evading vehicles if a tyre has been shot out/is flat.
- Increase the speed (vary the handling) of the other vehicles (I found that I just bought the fastest vehicle early on as there was no use for the slow ones).
- Either have a second page of inventory (purchasable upgrade) or add a separate inventory space for weapons and tools.
- Save game option - at this time the game only saves once each morning when you wake up.
- The daily mission to sell contraband needs a bigger reward or less contraband requirements. As it stands it isn't worth the hassle to wait until you have the right amount. Its more convenient just to hand over to the guard.
- Some clarity on when accepting a bribe will be detected or not detected. Sometimes I could get away with it, sometimes not. Is this a random risk?
- The final upgrade to your sleeping quarters should max out your perception most times. I find with the final upgrade to roads, i was spending longer on the line and my perception would barely touch the final bar after sleep.

Overall, a great game for the price. I look forward to seeing what updates are implemented and where the game can go.

Early Access Review
The game is in Early Access and as such the story line is not finished. I read other reviews and understood this before buying the game. This meant I wasn't disappointed when, after an enjoyable 15 hours, I had explored all there was so far.

After a few trial and error attempts, where I had to reload a save just after the intro missions, I managed to find a decent balance between People, Power and Oxygen. The game is all about balancing resources. One thing I wished I knew from the start... there's iron ore extraction points to be found out there, they were just towards the edges of the maps. Keep expanding! I was struggling for iron most of the time but once I found two deposits it was a lot easier.

I think the game has a lot of potential. I can't wait to find out where the anomaly came from and how we can defeat it.

During my playtime I experienced a couple of small bugs. Restarting the game on Steam eliminated one of them. Both were reported, no feedback yet. Nothing game breaking.

Improvements: Reduce the air pollution from Coal Generators. You need 3 purifiers just to negate 1 Advanced Coal Generator. I feel 1 purifier should be enough. Habitats: Way too easy to become depleted without a Marine Stabiliser. Even with one, the Very Rare Habitats deplete too quickly. At least make them regenerate their own marine life after a certain time or allow the Marine Stabiliser to seed new life into depleted habitats.

Great variety in gameplay. There is a genuine feeling of accomplishment as you build improvements for the town and citizens. There is a grind but nothing too onerous. Check out My Time In Sandrock which builds on this game!

Before I start I want you to know that I have played my fair share of survival games: Rust, Mist, 7 Days to Die, Raft, The Forrest to name just a few. Now, I know I only have a short amount of time in this game. In the Cons I will explain why. Despite being EA, this game falls short in some fundamental areas. Let's start with some Pros.

Pros:
+Variety of animals and resources in the world is acceptable for an EA game.
+Crafting is limited but substantial enough for an EA game to keep things interesting.
+The graphics are decent for an EA game.
+The world does not feel as empty as some other survival games.
+The enemies aren't immediately lethal ie. Not one shot and you're dead. You at least have a chance...

See, I managed to find some positives....

Cons:
-When you die you respawn in a random place, rather than your base. Once you build a tent you should respawn there.
-No tutorial or help option to show you how things work. Maybe some of these issues I have encountered could have been avoided with some sort of intro.
-There is no story line. Who are these pirates? How did I get here? What is my purpose?
-Bota Bag should be able to collect water. Does not work for me. This is one example of something that should be fairly self-explanatory but the controls are no where near intuitive. You would think you would be able to hold the bag and collect water from a water source then hit the action button to drink it. Nope, does not work. Mine stays at 0/5 no matter what button I press.
-COMBAT: This is by far the worst aspect of this game. The enemies at least have some fluid, focused attacks on you but try hitting them. The stop/start combat feels awkward. You often find yourself swinging your axe to the side of an enemy because the enemy focus button makes you fight side on. There is no fluidity whatsoever. This is the main reason I have not continued to play this game.

One of the fundamentals of any game with enemies is combat. Please give your combat mechanics some thought. Having to hold right click, select a zone (upper body, lower body, middle) then strike is tedious. Why can you not use your mouse to aim, left click to attack normally and right click to power attack. Or perhaps, left click is middle, right click is upper and thumb button is lower. Hold right click to block. You do not need an enemy focus button. This isn't VATS on Fallout.

Recommended! I have played a lot of survival games. This is a game I keep coming back to. Resources are plentiful, especially in towns and it doesn't feel like a grind that many other survival games do. What separates this game from others like it, is the Blood Moon. The tension of hiding out in an attic only to have you base invaded by a horde or zombies under the cover of the red moonlight is exhilarating to say the least. I have had this game for some time and a lot more content has been added over the years.

Pros:
+Blood Moon adds a real sense of tension and a goal to prepare for.
+Adjustable resource gathering, difficulty, block damage etc, in options prior to starting a game.
+Graphics are simple, nothing fantastic but it runs very smoothly and won't break your potato.
+The sounds are scary as ♥♥♥♥, I'm not sure my 7.1 channel headphones is feeling the full benefit of surround as sometimes you can't tell where the zombie is coming from, however, the music and grunts hit the mark.
+The variety of craftable items is quite good and has improved with each main update as you would expect. I hope the Devs continue to build on this, especially new traps for your base.
+The potential of this game is endless, I hope the Devs continue with development and look at building on an already strong foundation.

Cons:
-I play from Perth, Australia and have had a lot of trouble connecting to servers to play online.
-Fast travel to your base is sorely required. I spend a lot of time exploring far away and it is a chore to have to run halfway across the map to get back home. I know this may take away from the survival aspect so I'd be willing to compromise by having food/water levels drop after a fast travel or the cost of tokens or something. Of course, the other option is increase the number of transportation vehicles on the map. There is a minibike but I haven't come across it yet. Again, the penalty would be that it requires fuel to run and materials to maintain. I can live with that.
-To compete with WorldWarZ, Devs will have to consider larger hordes and therefore more effective weapons against zombies. The zombies in 7 Days are tough and you can get swarmed easy enough, however, I think the addition of an easier to kill, roaming horde would add another element to this game. Imagine a horde or 25+ zombies stumbling across your base at night. You would rely on lighting to shoot them and traps to take some out. Either way, a fun, thrilling battle would ensue.

I look forward to seeing what this game can evolve into in the near future!

What can I say about PUBG...

It will frustrate you, it will grate on your nerves but it will keep you coming back for more!

You will want to win that elusive chicken dinner and with hardwork, strategy and a bit of circle luck, you will win!

If you intend to play this for an extended period then I'd suggest squading up. PUBG is fun on solo but it really shines tactically when you play with a squad. Teamwork, co-cordination and anticipating the enemy's next move is paramount to achieve success. You will feel a real sense of achievement when you beat another 25+ squads to win that dinner!

I would describe myself as a casual player and yet I have over 1000 hours in this game. This should be some indication of how good and addictive it is!

It is like the adult brother of Fortnite and Apex. Play PUBG if you prefer realism to cartoonish child's play.

PUBG is not perfect. It is not without the occasional hacker or bug but this rarely ruins my experience. I just laugh when I am head-shotted through a mountain by a hacker with no LoS and the standard hacker issue Kar96K or when my motorcycle with side cart hits a small stone and explodes. That is gaming, nothing is perfect.

I had hoped for a revival of Erangel since the release of Miramar and the developers have finally come to the party. The loot is far too sparse and is not conducive to the fast paced action of similar games. The developers will address this in a future patch.

Overall, if you have not played PUBG then you are missing out on one of the most influential, fun, multiplayer games in the last decade. PUBG is to Battleroyale what World of Warcraft is to MMORPG.

For a game that is currently FREE this is awesome! The graphics rival games I've paid $40.00 for. The sound when a plane is shot down is amazing. The explosions are realistic and the ships look fantastic! The Tech Tree and upgrades are decent and the ship variety is enough to keep you coming back each day. I hope the developer continues to build on what is a pretty stirling foundation. I look forward to future updates.

I hope they bring in rough seas, huge storms and rogue waves!

9/10 Overall
